Tbh, the suggestion to replace atziri promise by dying sun is a poor suggestion as well, as the multiple projectiles don't shotgun, and the aoe bonus is not enough to have a supplementary tick. So you,re trading some dps for some qol, which may be where you want to go but is absolutely not a litteral upgrade.


I don't think this is right because most of the time bosses (e.g. Sirus) are not in melee range for 'point blank' to work with adjacent animosity. Plus in maps projectiles have to travel a lot all the time to do damage. What you said assumes that the boss does not move at all. Yes I'm aware that projectile speed is bad with ball lightning but in a non-perfect simulation environment it seems that tranquility would be more reliable and therefore better.

Also, many monsters, including some bosses have very large hitboxes allowing dying sun's extra projectiles to all hit when the projectiles have to travel a distance. When detonated at melee range, the extra projectiles converge on the target and all hit. Also doing for example a legion monolith with dying sun is definitely better.

What do you mean by "the multiple projectiles don't shotgun"? Because you get 2 extra balls with dying sun. Are you really suggesting that this is less than 15% more damage? Compared to atziri's promise, dying sun should increase damage by 200% without a helm enchant or 100% with a helm enchant.


Huh? No one is suggesting to use point blank.

Tranquility is far less reliable in every situation. AA gives you at least 2 extra ticks on BL over tranquility and an extra 4 in certain situations.

You are also incorrect. BL can not shotgun. The extra projectiles from dying sun or helm enchant simply help the clear.

Well I don't think I did because on your LL tree there is none of them.
When I try to 'craft item' in PoB, and make a new wand, I'm getting surprising results for prefixes relative power. It looks like this:

#1 is T1 spell damage
#2 is T1 flat lightning damage to spells
#3 is +1 all skill gems
#4 is +1 lightning skill gems

So the 'ideal wand' in my situation won't even have +1/+1 gems. Am I missing something? This feels very weird.

I was looking for an easy build to play. Can I just put detonate on left click, hold left click and just spam mines which would explode the second it lands on the ground? I heard it's better to stack multiple mines first then detonate cause of some bonus damage but that defeats the purpose of easy/lazy gameplay

Nope, that’s probably correct. The weighting on t1 spell damage is super low though, that wand would be much rather than a +1/+1 wand with crafted spell damage/ chaos mod.

Damage wise, of course the crown will be better, but you lose a shit ton of ES with it.
