Upgrade your helmet! It has only 1.64% of 2% max dmg of zombies leeched to your own life pool!
You can also try use the old setup with Phase Run - it can help alot with mapping speed, but also youre also less "visable" for monsters and much faster. That can help to get out of dangerous situations quickly - i love it in my setup!

So if I'm at pre-step 10 of this ( minion damage / +1 socketed gems), and I go through the rest of the steps, won't I end up with a weapon with 5 affixes? Is it better to go through and slam an exalt on the last affix at the end?
What about adding avian on the weapon? Can that be done afterwards as long as there is a free prefix, or will that interfere with the crafted mods?

Simple, cast Summon Zombie on all unwanted corpses BEFORE casting Raise Spectre on the corpse you do want :)

Introducing Huge Zombies!
Let me preface this by saying this build is a late game build. Even at level 91, I still lack a lot of the points to fully build it. I had to pull some points from HP that I will have to put back as I grind to 100.
Adriano447 and I have been working together to put this together because we thought it would hilarious and its actually quite powerful. Your zombies cannot die to normal play. They have too much HP and they regenerate too much! Also, 5 nodes of Renewal means that your huge bitches have a 50 percent chance to do double damage and that's not including the 5% from grave pact. Did you know that 5 nodes of give them 5 percent life regen? We have one node of Feasting Fiends for that juicy life leech. Oh yeah, these bad boys taunt 20 percent of the time on hit!? Who needs meat shield!? Not to mention you have two Raze and Pillage and two Vicious Bites to really pump up those numbers! Did I mention that the small clusters give you 40% life and 20% strength without even including small passive bonuses? Eat your heart out, Lethal Pride.

It doesn't matter who does the most DPS, even though this build poops all over content anyway. It's about who has got the biggest zombies!

Okay here is an update on my build. I am now level 95 and I have picked up a Lethal Pride. 20 divines later, it is a 20% strength 40 strength Lethal Pride.
Just broke 1500 strength, so I now have 12 zombies. My eHP is getting much higher and the damage is very high.
