[3.10] Gryph's Volatile Dead Necromancer || Fun, Medium Budget, Tanky, Millions of DPS

Can someone explain to me why Unearth in CWDT setup is good for this build?
May Innocence guide you, citizen of Oriath...
Why do we use certains skills in setups at certains levels?

Balllightning at lvl 4 and many others at lvl 11 etc

It depends entirely on what level your CWDT gems are. We don't level CWDT that high (unless it's the golems setup) so it triggers more often. A lower level CWDT can only trigger gems at certain levels.

i.e. level 1 CWDT can trigger gems that require level 38 and lower. It just happens that gems like Ball Lightning at level 4 requires level 37. If you were to level it to 5, it would require 40 thus not triggering with level 1 CWDT.

Same idea with Purifying Flame. Gem level 11 requires player level 36 while gem level 12 requires level 40.

You could always level your CWDT to accommodate higher level gems, but that means you have to take more damage before any of your spells will trigger.

any advice on how to kill kosis?

I have ~30 ex on this character and I had all 6 portals to work with and I only got him down to about 80% of his health. I really don't think this build will ever be able to take him down atm. However, don't let that discourage you from playing this build. It is a great build and very fun and amazing clear. It is fairly safe as well because you are always moving forward and moving around.

I have a feeling that the cluster jewels could make a huge different. That is why I am curious about the guy a few post above that took down A8 Sirus and Aul. You could maybe eliminate the right side of the tree. That could give you around 12-14 points to play with. I haven't tried this yet...

You referring to me? lol. I have an unoptimized right side of my tree since I need the all-resistances like a n00b haha. Also warning of big wall of text:

I've done at least 20, 20 wave simulacrums now and I've only lost 1 of them at wave 20 because the mods were: Turbo + extra chaos damage + monster crit + elemental penetration. Trick with Krosis is to watch him. Most of the time he's auto-attacking or about to "Nothing Personal Kid" on you when he teleports but neither should one shot. The big yikes is when he jumps up into the air and slams, that'll insta kill you. Stay behind him and spin or become the pseudo-ranged attacker this build really is. His void laser is the perfect time to deal immense damage to him.

Admittedly I got fairly lucky with my Aul spawn in that he "only" came with more life and 2 damage mods, instead of something dumb like Turbo + 3 damage mods + crit + elemental penetration.

A8 Sirus is still a bit sketchy due to a lot of the things that can kill you going through your ES due to Doryani's Keystone. I've killed 10 A8 Sirus with this character. 8 of those were deathless or 1 death. 1 was 3 deaths. Last one was a brick (damn cross map spawn killer lol). The main thing about that fight is to always be moving and never to be running directly at him. If he catches you even with his small laser, it could stun and kill you almost instantly. Get caught in a "Die!" laser is almost guaranteed death since it will stun and slow / freeze you... unless you get lucky and block most of the beams. There is also a bit of a timing of when to get him to come down during the transition phases. You either want to be fast enough to trigger him to come down before he shits the degens on the floor (those will also almost instantly kill you) or wait for him to poop those degens on the floor and wait for them to despawn before getting him out of the transition phases.

Here's what I do for the Sirus fight:
I drop Cinderswallow here for Atziri's Promise. The extra chaos resistance and the leech is invaluable, plus Cinderswallow is almost completely useless since there are no mobs for you to kill for the regen and we barely get enough flask charges in this fight to get much use out of it. If you're already running Atziri's, run a wise oak with at least cold resistance as your lowest uncapped resist to reduce incoming cold damage. Definitely fit in a source of Culling Strike (I drop Blade Blast for Culling Strike here, but you can pick up Culling Strike against cursed enemies on a Medium Cluster Jewel if you have a CoH setup). "Corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you" jewel is almost a necessity, other stats dont really matter, you just need this 1 mod. Take Soul of Arakkali (fully upgraded) and Soul of Ryslatha pantheons. ALWAYS be running around Sirus especially in the last phase. If you cannot see him, stop spinning and RUN / flame dash / whatever. The golden rule is: if you cannot see him, he will most likely nuke you out of existence

Elder / Shaper / U-Elder are jokes for this build since having mobs makes us nearly unkillable. (except Shaper's damn tri-ball attack, dont get hit by one or it's GG for you)

Atziri + Uber Atziri are a big no due to reflect (yes you can take the unique ring and the pantheon but you still one shot yourself since your cyclone is phys damage)

Has anyone found a seed for Glorious Vanity (doryani) that fits our build best? if so, mind posting it and which ones it seeds? I've been playing hell buying/selling testing them..and it's a nightmare LOL

I was hoping to find one that has good max life %, es%, resists, etc.. but having terrible luck. I had a good one, can't remember the # and accidentally swapped and sold it. sooo. Any help would be appreciated, please and thank you!

anyone?
Anyone Interested in Buying LLVD gear Pm me in game BleedticksOP

wanting to sell it all as i have done all content on it and min maxed it pretty damn well

@reddragonblack

Can you explain the significance of Elemental focus? Why are we curbing our chance to ignite when so many parts of the build depend on it? (ie Conderswallow)
You mentioned to check the DPS on BOP for staff changes etc...
But just in general, how do you guys check your DPS on BOP? It doesnt seem to work on VD...? Is there another spell to use as a reference?
How do you sustain your mana for this build?
