Hell, I don’t know if this would be illegal or not (maybe GGG can clarify?), but we could put cyclone on our right mouse button, and then simply map the key Vortex is on to also be the right mouse button, and effectively one-button the entire process.
If that’s not permitted, then obviously just manually hold down both keys. But if it is okay, well... makes this easy.
You can do the Nun Lock Trick to auto cast vortex
1 - Exange one of the skill shortcuts with NunPad 4 than put vortex;
2 - with NunLock ON, hold NumPad 4;
3 - while holding NunPad 4 turn OFF the NunLock;
4 - Release NunPad 4;
There is your vortex autocast!
To turn it off just press NunPad 4 Again!
You guys played all this time with vortex and dont use the trick? :-O
Just a tip, it only work with "instant" skills!

You can do with more than 1 skill at time too! Just need to be an instant skill, with no cast time.

I think he meant by weapon swapping. If you have 5 active storms, then weapon swap and continue cycloning, will it go to 10 storms since you have 2 different icestorm spells?
Using mines is clunky as fuck and the damage of that frost wave feels low.
What other options from 1-38?

Just tested this to Act 5, it works well. Although you'd have to drop something out of the Spellslinger such as Wintertide Brand because of the new 30% mana reservation override.
Yeah, I used the Stampede boots all last league, still BiS in terms of quality of life, since you just don't worry about flasks, changes in speed etc.
They may be even less desirable late game now however, as you are likely to want every tiny bit of ES and Int you can get. Rare boots, vs Stampede is still going to be a individual choice.
Awakened Increased Area of Effect is very workable with the new changes as an alternative to spell cascade. I played around with it last league for performance reasons and even before the area changes in Icestorm it was workable for clear. It's likely going to be the goto mapping gem.
