Chain Hook
This skill suffers from not being able to "hit" bosses like Kitava and Arakaali. Give them a hit box that is accessible with chain hook. Makes fights with these bosses unbearable.

Can we please add Travel tag to Chain hook.
I really really really want to use close combat support with my ground slam 2h axe setup and if it boosted chain hook I would be so happy, I play HC SSF Ruthless and really like chain hook... :) btw i love poe so much <33333 thankyou ggg |

I love the slam part of this skill, but the hooking part took way too long and if I messed up, the price is too high. So if you could make the hooking part got 20% more speed, it'd help a lot.

A big part of the clunky of using chain hook is if you miss the attack the animation is very long.
Maybe consider a transfigured gem that states "chain hook targets the closest enemy". This would avoid the misclick clunk and would be a huge QOL buff with no change to the core function - the downside being you can't pick specific targets... Fitting nicely into a rage theme. Keep up the good work. |

I honestly only use this for retaliation skills to move me to the target and get rage. With how much easier rage is to get now, this should really be looked at.

Now that Chain Hook gained a new variation on 3.26, I think this gem should be looked at. On the eyes of the people, this gem is bad, it performs poorly.
With the new variation coming out this skill should be more interesting for players to level as and explore. On close target it just looks like an auto attack with low damage and when ranged it is incredibly slow and doesn't have any benefits for its range. As a movement skill it is inferior and as a damage dealer it... sucks. Having rage as its source of AoE is interesting, but it's hard to play. I think it could gain damage from its range just a benefit and incentive for the skill, making it feel better to slam into packs (fun woo) and inflict powerful ailments at the cost of having to make space. Some people are hopeful for the Trarthus variation, but hopefully this gem can also be, for once, considered playable. |

I'd suggest Chain Hook of Trarthus draws enemies to you. As it is you need to use another skill anyway so reduce the button clicks. I'd also suggest vastly increasing the number of enemies chained or at least no limit on the number of chained enemies. If there are 50 enemies then let me get them all in 3 attacks. Drawing them towards you then blowing them up with a main skill is how this gem should work. I dunno what the devs were going for, you made chain hook even clunkier. That is impressive lol.

Oh and let it actually hit, it plays an attack animation when throwing chains but you can't actually do damage with anything except the pop. That is weird.

Hi. I'm having a problem targeting multiple enemies at once using Chain Hook of Trarthus. sometimes i only manage to hook 1 from a pack.
Maybe that one blocked the other hit box or its my connection that made them looked close together when actually not. |
