Cyclone
CYCLONE ROCKS!!! have it linked with added fire, melee damge and faster attacks and it hits for 4.3k and 5.1k with 6 frenzy. Love facebreakers and abysuss combo. Cant wait to get a 5 link chest to add concentrated effect. i calculate that it will hit for 7k :D

Question,which class has the best passive way for a main cyclone play??
And is Two Hand most effective,oder you will become many damage,so maybe Onehand/Shield is better? |

2h + AoE boosts + master of the arena passive node = best AoE
shield = most defensive because higher blocking than duel wielding, but not much size or damage. dw = it alternates weapons between hits, so they better be the same, otherwise the attack speed gives it an edge vs 2h. |

Don't change cyclone for idiots that haven't learned how to use it yet.

Make the cyclone have the fixed move speed, and completely remove dependence on the character move speed.
Right now players have 2 options: 1) Removing all + movespeed gear they have, removing leather and steel node which ignores movespeed penalty from armor, and wear the heavies armor possible. This way we get lowest possible movespeed, so that the Cyclone gets much more hits on enemies while you spin. However, this also means that in groups you won't get any loot. At all. People will steal all the items designated for you. Praise the FFA lootig system! 2) Leaving the movespeed alone. This way cyclone ends faster, so the mana costs of recasting it increase dramatically, as if it weren't high enough. We also get less hits per enemy, since we pass them quickly, which also does not help with mana issues. To sum up, linking the skill movespeed with running movespeed was a mistake, for me it is like a huge neon sign *STAY AWAY FROM THIS SKILL* right now. increase the aoe range, the animation have bigger range than what skill really work, this is stupid. i need to step on the monster to actually hit them. at least make it to have same aoe range like cleave, and don't forget about the desync

Been running 66-68 maps for the last few levels using Cyclone + Multistrike.
As has been discussed, the skill works fine when desync doesn't take over and teleport you to a different room (this has happened a lot) and make you spam WB and insta pots in hopes that you survive whatever the hell just happened. I've played many different classes with different skill builds, and cylcone + multistrike is by far the most frustrating to deal with. The problem is when it works, it works great. A lot of it depends on the map. If it is generally an open area (dungeon map) with few obstacles, then there is no real problem. If on the other hand, the map is something like Spider Lair with a lot of narrow space, you literally have to hope and pray you are where you think you are. The other issue is wanting to play a Dual Wield character that uses pure physical dmg, your build choices are extremely limited. DS is decent for single target, but outside of that your only real option is Cyclone if you want to stress melee/dual wield strengths. As melee's only real aoe, it is in a pretty terrible state. |
