Path of Exile: Legion Patch Notes

They really entice the usage of Cyclone ,Dual Strile and Glacial Hammer now that they have increased damage and new mechanics.

While all melee gems now feel more like spells with added dmg per skill level i think those three could be used in 3 different scenarios:

Cyclone - Now deals damage in a larger radius while moving
Dual Strike - Close Range Burst damage
Glacial Hammer - Close Range CC with a high freeze chance

Wicked Ward has been removed.
Vile Bastion: No longer requires any Ascendancy notables. It now grants 1% energy shield regeneration per second for each enemy you or your minions have killed recently, up to 10% (from a maximum of 30%). No longer grants +150 to maximum energy shield.
Each of the small passives on the Occultist Ascendancy tree now grant 6% increased energy shield (from 8%).

Interesting approach i guess.
Balancing by removing and not getting a new notable in return.

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks
>Can now be used with wands

>Every third successive strike now freezes enemies as if it were dealing 200% more damage at gem level 1, up to 390% at gem level 20.

Finally a league for a true warrior.
These are the node changes to the ES of my Occultist:

- Wicked Ward in tree -> I need 2 more skill points for that

- lose 150 flat ES on vile bastion
- lose 100 flat ES on wicked ward
- 12% max ES -> +10 ES (wtf)
- 10% max ES -> +10 ES (two nodes on the tree)
- 8% max ES -> 6% max ES (two nodes)
- 20% max ES -> 18% max ES

Looks a bit extreme to me maybe? Especially those 32% max ES that are changed to +30 ES PLUS the 250 flat ES that are just gone?

Ever thought about just removing crazy ES items as could be done in synthesis instead of nuking the tree?

Considering the number of badges under your name... this is something GGG should have to consider when making such a huge change without adjusting other things to provide a reliable alternative - with perhaps some more investments/sacrifice.
Leech should always be, and always have been, from all sources of direct damage (as opposed to remote like mines, minions, ect) rather than just attacks.

But, well, with such a monumental speed bump people taking their wallets and leaving is something for GGG to consider - and potentially worry about.

Why should GGG consider your badges, or in other words, the amount of money you gave them when they are balancing their game? If I give them 1000 $ I can act like an entitled brat too, and I should be appreciated, or what?

I agree, feedbacks should be heard, and if it is a veteran feedback, it should bear a bit more weight, but it should never obligate GGG to anything. And if all you can do is throwing a hissy fit, then bye.
nice stuff, but please change the fortify support from meele phy damage to meele damage

Wtf is this thing about Elementalist? What was wrong with her?

Ele, Occ, and Trick were the top 3 builds, by far.

Right or wrong, they ALWAYS nerf the top builds, even if it was QoL issues, or it makes no sense, or they do it poorly.

Well I guess you are right however Occu and Trick are still good while Ele should be renamed to Golementalist :D
