Game of thrones thread go! [ S8 ]
Yeah I never really understood that so you guys are creeped out by that but gore and all that doesn't phase you in fact pretty sure all of you like that and it's like wtf I mean she literally became the perfect assassin with not much emotion vs to anyone threatening her house / her loved ones.

Good episode. A-
Arya's scene was ok, a bit rushed. The innuendo was fun at the forge, gotta say. her "I know death" comeback was stone cold great. I liked seeing the interactions of people who 100% had each other's backs, and vouching for each other in the face of opposition and doubt, because of the shit they had been through together: Jamine/Brienne, Sansa/Theon, Sansa/Brienne especially. So good. The knighting of Brienne was beautiful. Dany's reaction to Jon's bombshell was telling. All about the Throne. Looking like the north will succeed. Agree, we will lose a few next episode.
" At least the crypt is super safe. I mean they only mentioned it like 4 times so it must be safe. It's not like the Night King could use the crypt to raise the dead and slaughter everyone inside or anything, right? GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" With the way travel works in Westeros, Samwell Tarley can nip back to the Citadel and do some quick research into the Statute of Limitations on Raising the Dead, and rush back in time to warn every one. Nah. Everyone with half a brain has seen that one coming, and found the repeated foreshadowing laughable. It'll be cool seeing the tombs smashing open and the old Stark bones wreaking havoc. Hoping that Tormund and Jamie start up a Gimli/Legolas Helm's Deep style contest while everyone in the crypt dies.
It's kinda anti-climax knowing the entire war can be won with a lucky headshot on the night king.
Here are my predictions: Jon kills the king. He will sacrifice his life in a final attempt to get that lucky strike while everyone is watching. It will be emotional. Jon or Danny will die so the awkward incest problem is solved. 2 birds with 1 stone. Probably Jon. Littlefinger survived with that braavosi coin but will be killed by someone who turns out to be no other than my man JaqenHghar! Cersei dies to walkers and Jaime watches her die in agony. Very emotional scene. Teon greyjoy will die heroic cause he needs to redeem himself for being a coward. [Removed by Support] Last edited by Auradinho on Apr 22, 2019, 6:35:51 PM

Yes, that Achilles heel is pretty clear. We can't be sure his power dies with him though. Might pass to a general, or ... into Bran?!!
" I thought that, as the end of last season they hadn't interacted much, and all in the South. Now we see Dany for what she is, a lone queen with tyrannical leanings, which was always there and worked well when she was liberating the oppressed. We see her for what she is in the North, and interacting with Jon in the North, and in that world of fierce loyalties earned not just given, she doesn't belong. They won't have sex again, so the incest thing is moot. I thought they'd find out later, in some rush where then Jon dies, but it makes sense it's out early on. He still looks likely to die. When Jon told Dany who he is, she didn't say anything about how that impacted their relationship, but went straight to what it meant for her claim to the Iron Throne, and that how can I kill you face she made was classic. That, along with her little chat with Sansa, and what about the North, interesting times. I like Dany's character, but she doesn't belong in the North and doesn't get any of those great mutual appreciation and reckoning moments that the more human, rounded and co-operative characters are getting. Easy to forge on and bring the world to heel when you have charisma backed by dragons, isn't it? It's like I'm seriously invested in this, or something, lol. Nah, kind of, that was a good episode and it's fun watercooler fodder. Plus, to make such a story, I wonder at that, what goes into making such a popular tale, how it works, what people like, could I do that. Plus, it's gorgeous to look at. Jon and Dany who? The big battle in episode three looks like there's going to be a few episodes of aftermath struggle to survive. " Littlefinger is dead, dead. Maybe, maybe! Theon has redeemed himself. So sweet them eating soup together out in the Winterfell courtyard in the cold waiting hours. He might die, but then again, maybe not. Not exactly the plum job defending Bait Bran out by the tree. ed: oops wrong link for theon and sansa image. Last edited by erdelyii on Apr 23, 2019, 9:39:41 AM

Episode 3...holy shit what an intense hour and 20ish minutes of TV!
Spoiler
I wish we would have seen more of Ghost but I have a feeling him and Nymeria and her wolf pack are going to get a bigger role in the upcoming episodes. I mean, they have to right? Otherwise what the fuck was the point of even having the damn things in the show? lol Saw this last week sometime, really feeling it now. What a great character arc... Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.
