I dont understand how CurseOnHit works with Frenzy.

Frenzy, Despair, and CurseOnHit are suppose to be linked together.
I hit an enemy with ToxicRain, CurseOnHit procs, which then casts Despair for me.
But Frenzy isnt a curse so how does it cast Frenzy for me?
Or am I suppose to cast Frenzy myself first to proc CurseOnHit (to autocast Despair) then start spamming ToxicRain?

Regarding Flesh and Stone gem, I just leave it in sand stance and that's it?

Also, which auras should I prioritize?
Malevolence for damage? Discipline or Flesh/Stone for defence first?

Thanks!
This depends. If you're rolling in currency and buy a Maloney's quiver, it fires the arrow skill automatically, which is frenzy. This procs the curse on hit, and applies despair. Bottom line - you don't need to do anything, it's all automatic.

If you're self casting, because nobody can afford Maloney's, then for hard targets you want to double cast wither totems to get three running, then hit them with Frenzy, which procs the curse on hit and despair, then stack up toxic rain pods on them. If you're lucky, you can pre-cast the totems.

I got a mild 6l with +2 bow gems and attack speed, was wondering what I should focus on now? None of the nodes I have left to get in the tree give damage. Are damage increases at this point only from jewels and gem level?

What stance should I be in for Flesh and Stone?
This build stacks gem levels, chaos damage, damage over time, Area of effect, and attack speed.

Which means you need to level out your gems, spring for a level 21 toxic rain, a +3 bow, and a level 4 empower.

Along the way you should try to get reduced mana rings / amulet, jewels for your tree, pick up some extra life nodes and blast radius on the tree, and probably annoint your amulet with oils to pick up Corruption.

If you do all this, your damage is going to be a LOT higher than it is now.

Here's a bow I crafted for this build. Got a bit lazy and crafted t2 mods but I'll craft the t1 mods after I unlock them.

Here's how I did it for anyone interested:
I alt spammed until I hit the +2 bow and t1 attack speed, which took around 7000 alterations. Then I used the imprinting beast and regaled. I got lucky and regaled a suffix (low tier crit chance). If you end up regaling a prefix, you can try to annul it away. Then, as the guide suggests, I crafted cannot roll attack modifiers and used the beast that adds a prefix and deletes a random suffix. Took a couple of tries but I eventually ended up deleting the crit chance, which left me with the +3 gems and t1 attack speed. I didn't end up having to use the imprint but I highly suggest using it as insurance since it can get very expensive in case you get unlucky.

I still don't quite understand why you need the beast - if a bow has 2 suffixes and 1 or 2 prefixes (with all your desired mods except +1 to level of socketed gems and attack speed) - you can craft 'cannot roll attack modifiers' (suffix, only prefixes are open) (1ex) and then slam it with an ex (only +1 can roll now as a prefix) - then replace the 'cannot roll' craft with an attack speed craft - finished.
So only 2 ex needed to finish.

You can buy bases with +2 gems and damage over time multiplier (not crafted) relativeley cheap, if needed annul something off (still cheaper then to hit everything yourself even if it fails 2-3 times?) - or you might even find perfect base where nothing has to be annuled (1 open suffix and 1 open prefix) - I bought such for like 10c or 20c.

EDIT: mmh the crafted Chaos damage over time multiplier is most likely missing then it seems.

They buffed life pools of bosses of everything in 3.9 from act 1 levelling to shaper and elder, and ofc added new bosses with also pretty big hp pools. You have to balance your build around being able to take a few hits and have ways of recovering from them, insta phasing bosses is gone in many cases.

Tbh I'm surprised to see you have soul strike and vaal regalia but you haven't gone full ES + CI route, there's a higher than usual amount of chaos damage this league so building hybrid ES + life might feel more squishy when you have only half your defenses working again chaos.

You have low evasion and poor flask setup, you don't have any defensive aura like discipline or grace, I would imagine the character will feel squishy, and with only lvl 18 toxic rain the damage will also be a bit slow. You're also missing uber lab to get a bit extra defenses.

And yeah GGG wanted to slow down the meta so here we are. You have a lot of improvements you can make semi easily though, like levelling gems or upgrading items to either have more life or more ES whichever you deem easier to obtain, so it should get better in the long run. If you plan to play hybrid like the build originally intended, you should swap to evasion base chest once you get uber lab and escape artist, it's a waste not to.

Anyone have any idea what i should do with this? Worth multimodding?

Currently level 53 and loving this build. Probably the most fun I've had since Poet's Pen VD.

How am I shaping up so far?

Additionally it doesn't seem like MA procs enough for it to be the most efficent gem in that slot.

I'm also trying to figure out a way to weave in one of the 3 ballista skills. Being able to slam those down, between them and your golem, the screen dies to TR before they even notice me.

In boss fights they pull a lot of aggro off you as well, but again, I'm only level 53 so I'm not sure how viable this is for mapping.
In the Spell Totem - Wither setup is the Multiple Totems important?

Cause with a Clarity Watcher's Eye

and with running Clarity (in addition to Discipline, Grace, Malevolence) I don'T have the 32 Mana anymore to cast the Spell Totem (only 23) - not sure how to fix that - any tips?
I can't decide if The Vertex is worth buying. according the gem levels i wont be getting any extra dmg buff from malevolence and I've never hit a lvl 21 vaal on a gem before, and even then its only 1% more. I don't really expect to go past maybe lvl 93-94 because its just so much grinding. So my theory was i would prioritize the jewel sockets over the mana reserve nodes for my levels, and not use flesh and stone, and also not buy a vertex. And if im ever gonna have a chance of getting/crafting a better bow ill need to save everything I can get for the next few weeks I guess lol.

my builds open to view, just working with the rares I have for now, any opinions?

ideally, do we want a bow with +2 support gems or +2 bow gems ?

can't understand if that's a big deal or not
