(3.14) Toxic Rain + Caustic Arrow | 5-10m Sirus DPS | Fast + Durable | 50c Budget/SSF Uber Elder
I have isolated only t1 damage over time, could not get the attack speed to stick. I'm thinking of attack mod blocking, slamming with a warlord's orb (phasing/extra projectile/culling strike are the only potential things that can roll), slamming an ex for +1 gems and then multimod'ing. Its very expensive and I'm trying to farm for the ex I need to go through with this. Should I? Or should I still be rolling for just an attack speed DoT mod bow? |

"Works great - this is why it's listed as the second bow in the progression in the guide. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

"Correct, iLevel 82+ is required. Bases for crafting are going for 90+ chaos at the moment. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

"So, this is exactly what I did last league. Ran a Perfect Form for the Acro. I ran Arctic Armour as well, but I don't think it really contributes much. I also pathed to corruption and used oils to get the 25% duration node. POB plus my dps calculation spreadsheet that I built based on the "don't be a tooltip warrior" section says it's significantly better damage output. The biggest challenge I ran into was bosses with phases, I tend to run out of flask charges unless they also spawn adds in between phases, and I'm using flasks to keep my Evasion high enough. Other than that, this setup worked exceptionally well. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

" My strategy with Izaro is pretty simple - in the first two arenas, I just run around him. You only need to hit him every now and then, Mirage Archer will carry you the rest of the way. I do the same in the last arena if there's enough room, if not, I use Blink Arrow to bounce back and forth over him. This has the added benefit of leaving my Blink Arrow clone around firing a bow will culling strike. As for bows, the starter 5L is cheap and easy. From the guide (with some edits by me, all errors are likely my fault): +2 5L Starter Bow Price: 10c Damage: 1,274,618 How to Craft: Buy a 5L Short Bow, Thicket Bow, or Grove Bow that is itemlevel 64 or higher. (Use this search, should cost you 1 chaos or less: https://poe.trade/search/arikabomanazih ) If the bow is not white, scour it. (It will be white if you buy from my search, above.) Then spam Orbs of Alteration until you get "+2 to level of socketed bow gems". Use an Orb of Augmentation if the bow does not have a suffix yet, then Regal it. If you hit attack speed on either the Augment or the Regal, you can craft Non-Ailment Chaos Damage over Time Multiplier. If you did not get attack speed, craft attack speed on the bow for 6 alterations. I'd recommend repeatedly crafting the attack speed until you get 10%. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

"Yes, time to start saving for some bow upgrades. You could grab lab enchants on your helm, boots, and gloves as well. Oil upgrades on your rings don't hurt either. Other than that, gem levels, you could try for a damage multiplier set of gloves, then Empower and other endgame upgrades. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

I have a 6Link item level 50 bow:
prefixes: +1 socketed gems +2 socketed bow gems adds 11 - 12 cold damage suffix: 21% damage over time multiplier what should i do with this? |
|
"Craft attack speed on it and call it a day. If you ever end up with way too much currency, maybe hit it with an annul and hope for the cold damage to go away... but don't risk it unless you have a bow to use when GGG's RNG messes up this one! Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD

Hey guys, if I only have around 2ex to play around with and my current bow is the following:
Should I go for the Porcupine bow or hold out for a higher ilvl thicket? I see the porcupine only looks to be a minor increase in damage over the 6L Silverbough. Also regarding the passive tree, I'm wondering if pathing up to Corruption (gaining the AoE in the process) removing the skill effect duration near the center and anointing the 25% one is worth it? AoE seems to affect average pods but the build as posted only has around ~25% w/o flask up. Making that change makes you go from 91% Duration and 25% AoE to 70% duration and 56% AoE and gains around ~10k DPS. Also, might it be worth going for the Imperial Legacy div card? Same idea, but it's even cheaper and the Imperial Bow is ilvl 100, the downside is the base attack speed is down to 1.45 from 1.50. Last edited by Zhain#1560 on Dec 19, 2019, 8:34:55 PM

"If this is the bow you are using, I'd spring for the Porcupine one - it's nearly double the damage. I've always skipped the Silverbough, so I go 5L starter, Porcupine, and then endgame. Also, I'll craft the endgame up until it outclasses the Porcupine but isn't entirely done yet, then swap over. Of course that was before they nerfed the VP bow, so when I get there I might have to re-think that last part. :) So far I'm crushing white maps, and I'm still running the 5L starter bow.
