It's not viable. Darkscorn is for poison builds, this is DoT Chaos damage. Furthermore, we scale gem levels, and giving up the additional gem levels from our bow would literally cripple this.

I think +2 is harder, but i also have to unveil -mana mod so i quess is syndicate for me now.

You are going to need to annul the lightning damage if you want multi and +2 support crafts, both of which are prefixes.

Huoh, i also realized that. Was laying in the bed when it hit me. Took me more than a hour to get to sleep, were only thinkin how the f... im gonna get that prefix out. I think i still have nightmares from that alt-spam.

This is my first shadow, first bow and first crafting experience. I think i just hit that +2 sups and call it a day. I still have poor-tier rings, ammu & jewels. I think i fix those and after reconsidet do i wanna make that perfect bow.

Just because i dont think i want to traumatize myself more with altspam just yet. Maybe after a week or two i remember it to be fun =D Time golds emorys...

Yes that bow crafting is very hard to hit right IF you want to have attack speed on it (if not: easy) - because you actually need to hit damage over time (t1 or t2 is OK, but this mod is the problem because it is rare to appear!) + attack speed (should be above 10%) with alts/augment/regal.

It can have another prefix, that's fine, because if you hit two suffixes + 1 prefix, you can craft: suffixes cannot be changed, and scour, to remove the prefix. This makes it a little better chance, because you can augment any shitty prefix to still have a chance to hit DOT/attack speed with augment + regal. If not then scour + repeat.

IF you have the two, then craft cannot roll attock mods (to get from Plaguemaw V prophecy), exalt slam for +1 to gems, then craft multiple crafted mods (from Pale Court fight), then add +2 to support gems (unveil from catharina veiled items, you can buy them on trade or do mastermind fight most likely multiple times before you get +2) and t1 to chaos damage over time. (unveiled from any Ilevel 82+ 2hand or bow - you can also buy a couple on trade)

Hey thanks a lot man. I will check that out. I allready did that cant roll attack + ex slam +1 before i realized that i made a mistake.

Will try and error. I think i just buy a new base and watch that video and try to craft it with no hurrys/worrys. I can proceed with this bow and this way i dont have to be so OCD to get that bow ready. So i can actually play content i enjoy and craf in side.

So, yeah. This is the gear which finally makes endgame fun and smooth and it's probably around 40ex in total (30ex is the bow probably). First time Shadow and playing with TR it has been a challenge. The guide in the OP needs updating urgently. The gear and link sections are all over the place. Also there are many PoB floating around and they are all different.

If any new player reads this just look at the profiles of posters in this thread and mirror their gear/build.

Also I never ever used Blink Arrow and it makes no sense to me that Faster Attacks and Culling aren't linked with Frenzy, but with Blink Arrow. Withering Step is also superior to Dash imo and Frost Bomb is nice to have vs. metamorphs.

The biggest upgrade is indeed the Bow and it can't be understated. People here are linking 10-30ex bows left and right but for newer players reading this it's just unobtainable. The next best option is the Porcupine Essence bow and that is imo not nearly enough DPS to smoothly clear red maps or even attempt Sirus.

Also you definitely want to grab a Life Flask for the current content. 4k HP and 2k ES is the minimum requirement for endgame.

TLDR:
The build is solid but the OP is not updated to the current meta so I wouldn't advise new players to start with this build until it's updated properly. It also requires atleast a couple of EX to work really well so the budget claim is not realistic.

+1 to skill gem level mod from influenced amulets currently bugged!

every zone you have to re-equip your toxic rain or press x for weapon swap for the buff to apply to your toxic rain tooltip dps (deals xxx chaos damage per second - check it out!)

So from what I read here you need at least 10ex+ bow to make this build work in red maps? That's sad.

I'm in the process of upgrading my gear right now, but I was pretty much running with 70c worth of gear + a 3ex bow (+3 bow gems bow with crafted chaos multiplier) for a long time. No issues doing T16s or anything below that. I pretty much ignore all metamorph/map mods and Metamorphs don't take too long either unless they have super rippy mods and I get unlucky with dodge.

Build is perfectly capable of doing T16 maps comfortably as long as you have any +3 bow.

Not at all. High level red maps maybe, entry level reds absolutely not required.
