[3.9] Physical Conversion Bowyer | Wander [TS/LA/IS + Barrage] [KB + Power Siphon] [All Content]

Would you say that leveling as a Wander from lvl 12 with Poets Pen is viable? I have about 10 ex to spend

it's doable but won't be as easy as toxic rain. I suggest just going toxic rain. The time u save probably makes up for the amount of regrets you spend respeccing.

Atm Loreweave is very expensive, but it'll probably go down in a few days. I think prioritize everything else first and use any 6L chest or Tabula in the meantime

Would this be a decent phy wand instead of a poet's pen?

Hey dude- awesome build. I wanted to share my phys conversion bow pathfinder in standard that I've been working towards gearing out over the years. Thought it would maybe provide you with some additional gearing ideas and also show how some legacy gears can really break this build wide open even further and make it an absolute beast.

Bow and Quiver- these were the best bow and quiver in the game when I mirrored them, better options exist these days with some of the synthesized items but it's a nominal dps increase. Arborix is a wonderful option as a league start item- it seems with the multimod nerf that it's going to be very difficult to get a good enough rare harbinger bow to make it worth pursuing.

Helmet, gloves, boots- mirrored the blood visor lion pelt a month or two ago- getting the tri-res helmet and tri-res boots really makes balancing wise oak easy and still allows me to res cap. I think you are correct in going for gloves that aren't tombfist in league. Legacy tombfist are probably BiS for standard purposes

Belt- I mean... you know who it is.

Chest- I go with farrul's because I prefer the perma frenzy and power charges compared to other mirrored chest options that only grant charges on hit or on kill. Loreweave, however, is probably the more budget friendly option for early league, and it might be better as an offensive/defensive tool than farrul's overall. For me, it's a quality of life choice for having charges and running fast all the time.

Jewelry- The area of my gear that probably needs the most updating. The amulet was the best avaiable to me when I mirrored it a couple of years ago- with oils and more power creep, though, there are probably better options out there. With my current "gear lock," the rings were the spot I really had to try to find some stats. I am missing a curse in my current setup- wasn't rich enough to afford double implicit 2 socket legacy tombfists, so I think my next "mirrored item" is probably an elemental weakness ring.

Flasks- quicksilver flask, dying sun, and legacy taste of hate. These are all great choices and there's nothing to explain here.

In standard, however, you have the luxury of getting 20% phys conversion double legacy vinktar's- which makes leech instant during its effect. For those who remember the good ole days of old vaal pact- instant leech is super busted. Squeaking out that last 20% phys conversion is also nice- in league I think I would try to get a "25% of phys converted to cold" line on gloves to cap all the conversion out (assuming 40% from watchers and 40% from winter spirit).

Legacy wise oak is another great dps option- with permanent power charges and a ridiculously high crit bow/quiver, you will see in PoB that it's better to pick up the additional pen. My bleed immunity is covered by "corrupted blood" Lioneye's fall.

Jewels- it took many jewel slamming sessions to hit the jewels I have now. For max dps, the legacy abyss jewels are the best (hollow glare is a perfect example of a 4x t1 perfectly rolled jewel). Otherwise, viridians with multi, life, proj., and ias with bows is better than any other option.

Hi, thanks for your build, had a blast last league and this one.

Just as a heads up, currently 21/23 kinetic blast and vaal power siphon can be bought for 30c or less, making leveling your own not worth you time (imho).

Edit: look for the vaal power siphon, the normal ones are three times the price.

^ KB quality only gives more area so you can skimp on that for lower price, lvl 21 PS is mandatory, 23% quality is only 23% damage increased which can be neglectible.

Very nice! Being mostly a standard player myself I really appreciate the amount of dedication and effort required to put together a full mirrored setup. It's really the best part of the game imo seeing the result from years of hard work and experiencing the strongest builds.

This was very similar to my own bow setup from a few months ago except I used 1x Grim Nail and 1x Bramble Eye for the ring slots as well as Tempest Locket for the amulet slot. I also went for Bubonics instead of rare boots and relied on flasks for resist capping just for that extra damage, although I think the best boot option is yours w/ tri res balance since damage was definitely not lacking lol whereas not being res capped sometimes got me killed.. Also gratz on Hollow Glare; you're one of the few owners of a BIS 4x mod jewel.

Interesting enough, Blood Visor was first conceived when I discussed with Mai about how there wasn't a helm option that allowed for Wise Oak balancing, so he decided to craft one, spent around 2-3k exalts I think. I mirrored the first copy before the %phys taken as fire mastercraft came out, so it had 12% WED, but that phys taken as fire mod is far superior. I think Mai sold it later on to a guy named TheTempests? It's been a while since I've dabbled w/ mirrored gear market so these items may have changed hands once again.

I noticed there is currently a glove mod for one of the new awakener bases that gives intimidate on hit. I think that'll shift the DPS meta away from legacy Tombfists really soon, since a pair of gloves with those prefixes paired w/ 25% cold conversion, an abyss socket (hollow fossil), %attack speed and mastercrafts such as hybrid %ele damage + crit chance will probably outperform Tombfists. This would require switching to flat attacks Vinktar unfortunately but fully converting to cold would be a huge DPS buff. I think even if you stayed with conversion Vinktar, it might still be a modest DPS improvement, at least over single-corrupted Tombfists.

I'm not aware of any good ele weakness on hit rings, but I think the ass mark on hit ring from Mai was solid back in the day (Hypnotic Whorl). I think you should consider Behemoth Grasp. That thing is a monster and has built in resists on top too, absolutely beautiful ring. I think that one might beat out any ele weakness ring mainly b/c of the reduced curse effect against Shaper+ bosses. Plus that mod would be much weaker/dead against hexproof/reduced curse effect maps too.

Poet's Pen will still be stronger b/c of consistent curse + cold exposure proccing.
Hi Enahkra

thanks a lot for this guide. i hadn't played wanders in the last 3 leagues as after the barrage nerfs i thought they lost too much dmg, but i've started playing now again thx to you.

I'm currently playing as raider (lvl 88), with avatar of the veil, rapid assault and way of the poacher. As bosses are quickly dying in tier 8-10 i almost never have no flasks up.

Do you think it's still worth to switch to pf?

Would you happen to have a high end PoB for a standard wander with some mf?
I got to this point but I don't think most of the items are optimal, I just wanna swap from a windripper to some kb action https://pastebin.com/q0jSWBX2
