Due to Templar budget cuts (and performance concerns (but mostly fiscal responsibility)), many of the Blackguard Jaegers in the Ascent have lost their capes.

I don't like casting tho.

So play melee char you don't have to cast anything XD
Anyone fretting that the inability to disable shadows means the forced switch to DX11 will make the game unplayably slow for them should give this a try.

I was in the same position, until I began messing around with various settings on my computer, and discovered that it's possible to get the game to run pretty great under DX11 in 640x480 mode:

Spoiler

You can't choose that mode from within PoE normally, and trying to force it via the settings file fails if your desktop resolution is 800x600 or greater because the game auto-resizes it's resolution to 800x600 minimum otherwise.

What you have to do (and it's remarkably simple) is limit the resolution-size available to the game, and to do that you need to set your desktop resolution to 640x480 via your graphics driver's system tray utility. Here it is on AMD Catalyst Control Center, for example:

Spoiler

The game looks great in 640x480: yes, the downgrade is noticeable, but it still looks fantastic for it's resolution, especially when you remember that Diablo II also used that mode (so it's also great for retro-lovers).

At that resolution, I'm able to play full-screen with shadows enabled (albeit, the shadows are kind of hard to make out) at between 25-30FPS, which is actually a massive performance increase over my old configuration in DX9 with shadows disabled at 15-20FPS, and unlike the old "potato mode" gives an awesome performance boost without making the game look muddy and textureless.

And given that yes, Dynamic Resolution CAN still temporarily drop the resolution further if the game needs to, I wouldn't be surprised if there are people out there who're somehow able to set their desktop resolution to 320x240 or below for even more performance...
I don't wanna play this league, you killed all fun for me
RIP PP
Sound like time to get back to d3....
Cleave
Can now affect up to 40 targets per attack (from 20).

Best buff in history, if people say that skill hit not enough mobs, it's not because of amount of targets, it is because of the skill range -_-
Hell is empty and all the devils are here.
Cleave got a buff!!!

A lot of good stuff. Spells rework is impressive. This league is going to be great. Nice job :)

Energy Leech Support
Supported skills leech a portion of the damage they deal on hit back as Energy Shield. Supported skills also deal more damage while you are leeching Energy Shield and while you are on Full Energy Shield.
"
Life Leech Support
No longer grants increased Life leeched per second based on gem quality. It now causes supported skills to deal 10% increased Damage while Leeching Life at 20% quality.
Am i the only one who don't understand this - why, while ES and Life Leech Supports both add leech, only ES sup add more damage but Life sup add nothing? And this discrepancy is multiplied by fact that ES is going to be clearly superior to life in this league.

Lilly Roth's gems are now sorted into Skills and Supports
It is great feature, but it was already added in 3.5 expansion (i've enjoyed it from the beginning of the Betrayal league).

Bosses which previously had 60% or 80% less effect of curses on them now have 33% or 66% less effect of curses on them respectively.
Big numbers. I was expecting 50% and 75% less effect respectively.

The Crafting Bench now displays all mods, not just the mods you have unlocked. Mods you have not yet unlocked are greyed out.
Thank you!

Fixed a bug which caused you to get two stacks of Grasping Vines on your first hit against an enemy with the Vine Snare Nemesis mod.
I'm pretty sure every time i've encountered this bug it was 10 stacks applied immediately.
