New Players

Don't forget your loot filter ^_^

https://www.filterblade.xyz/
Thank you guys for all the help. As stated probably one of best communities that comes together for other players.

A lot good information.

Thanks to

nooooodles we are indeed using the loot filter trying two different ones at the moment.

1. filterblade (neversink)
2. One Filter to Rule them All

We also checked out this great Guide Series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KY1x92eibB0

DeathPunch79 thank you for all the advice. taking notes. I have a score of notes for when I played EvE Online and a OneNote now just for Path of Exile with references and info. Done this for years with MUDS, EverQuest and so on. I am typically very OCD about Min/Maxing characters and will try 41 flavors of builds before I am happy lol.

xPeleusx Thanks again for all the info. I drop things in my stash and see if I am going to use them or just sell them. During the stream I want to keep the kids going and not let my OCD of looking over the loot and Gems get in the way. I do that offline.

I try to keep it clean as possible but sometimes find something for another character or item one of the kids may like.

Completely understand to not get attached to any one piece of equipment will probably be replaced sooner then later.

I cannot say it enough Thank you guys always very helpful!
People might have said so already: specialize your build. What I mean is, dont try to create a master of all trades, it will most likely end up as poor at everything. Pick a skill you like and get items that support that skill. And the same goes for passives in the talent tree. If you use spells, go for spell damage/cast speed/spell crit (you might wanna limit yourself to just one of these) or elemental damage if it is an elemental spell.

This brings me to the thing that I actually wanted to communicate: GGG tries to be very precise with the wording on items. For example when it says 'increases and decreases of something also apply to this and that for this skill', it means that a more/less modifier won't apply (like with storm brand).

...and this leads to increases/decreases vs more/less. If you have two items that both increase damage of a certain type, like 15% increased damage on one item and 10% increased on the other item, the two percentages will be added so you end up with a total of 25% increased damage (decreased gets subtracted).
If it says 10% more damage and 15% more damage, the two will be multiplied: 1.1 x 1.15 = 1.265
so that will be 26.5% total. You ll always want to combine as many more multilplier as you can.

"There's no thing like random one-shots in this game. You only die because you take 353,456,237 hits in 0.2 seconds."

2 hardware tips.

1. Use the lowest settings, the higher ones do not change the graphics that much. In this game not having stuttering is a must.

2. Cap your FPS to 60, it'll do wonders for your performance.

Thanks Kuddman I was a all over the place on my first build. The new build I am looking for particular passive bonuses. I am enjoying a Blight, Contagion / Wither setup with Void Manipulation support. It felt odd at first I see Shadow like a Rogue type character but then I was thinking of Elder Scrolls Online the NightBlade I played as a caster and it was a very fun build.

As per hardware I am running on a AMD processor Ryzen 2700X with a MSI x470 board and a Zoltac 1080 Gpu on a .m2 PCIE Samsung Drive. I also have a old Intel 4770K with 1080 and Asus Sabertooth Z87 board that run POE without issue. I have the kids on a AMD Ryzen as well with a Gigabyte B450m Board and some RX580 cards with 16 gigs ram and .m2 samsung drives that run POE very well. It is my first time stream so I was concerned how well it would handle and if I needed a capture card.

Let me know what you guys think on the video any issues with Audio, Video, Stutter do let me know.

What specs are you currently running on your system?
