New Players
poe isn't really the game you quickly master in some days and stream 4 other games beside it?
while i like watching starters in their first steps, the whole game till maps is content that other stramers do in a few hours. you learning curve needs to be steep to make people keep watching. -- item giveaways are against ggg's terms of service, just in case you didn't know. offline

Thanks xPeleusx for stopping by and helping out with Game tips. I added the Time Zone did not think about that.
Awesome Arrowneous thank you for the links will look them over. Hey cronus thanks for the input strictly streaming POE want to get a character as high as possible and learn the game. Coming from EvE Online I do understand the learning curve is very large and something we are looking forward too. Was not sure about the giveaways. The kids thought it would be fun. We get free tech toys time to time and it was just to have fun with it not to draw people. Taking that panel off. Not taking donations just streaming for fun and enjoying the community. Any tips and help greatly appreciated. Also anyway to link sites via direct text on the panels vs a image. Like to place the links to resources you guys provide on the Panels. I did Downloaded POB and looking it over Arrowneous. Last edited by Fam4Gamers#0577 on Jan 10, 2019, 12:18:51 AM

Just remember to have fun and play the game how you want.
I still full clear all the maps when levelling a new character. I know I should not be, but I do as that's what I like to do. I will also re-roll characters all season, trying different builds and seeing what it is I like to play. Quoting someone else "If the build you are playing is working for you then there is nothing wrong with it" The only thing to remember is that your progression is going to be slower when playing with the whole family. Especially since this is everyone's first time playing and you want to search everywhere. And yes you will get a different audience compared to everyone else as your progression is slower, but again have fun with it. If you have any questions at all you can PM me. |

Oh cmon.
First 5 acts are tutorial mode. Easiest content. |
|
The content may be easy but the game mechanics such as understanding gear suffix, prefix, item level, quaility, builds, gems and the load of options that no other ARPG really has is a learning curve.
So all the tips provided by the community has been amazing and helpful. We are also an entire family playing. The kids are learning the ropes and having fun through it. So any tips on builds or guides for low level builds or gear to look for or particular gems that mesh well we are all open to those type tips or references or links. Come join us any time. Good Day.
I noticed last night in your stream that you have items in your stash. Most of the stuff you are keeping you will find better versions in a few levels when you get out of Act 2. Basic's to remember this. White Gear (Basic) - This is basic gear not really worth keeping around just leave it or vendor them. (Once you get into crafting you use these as a base, but you are far from doing crafting yet) Blue Gear (Magic Gear) - These have a little better stats then the white gear The can have 1 Prefix and 1 suffix. Upgrade all you white gear to Blue Gear if you have not done so. Yellow Gear (Rare Gear) - This gear is what you want to spend your Wisdom Scrolls on. They have better stats and can come with 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes. Upgrade all Blue gear to yellow gear when you can. Brown Gear (Unique Gear) - These are like the yellow gear but with better stats and can really help out a build. With over 884 Uniques in the game most of them get vendored, but if you find one and it fits your build then use it. While levelling you want these main stats on your gear. 1) Life 2) Resistance, try an get all your resistance to at least 30%, by the time you get to Act 4 you want them to at around 75% each. Chaos is hard to get up there so do not worry about that so much now. 3) Mana Sockets and Links You can get to Act 10 using all 4 linked gear in all gear slots. 1-Handed Weapons and Shields - These only get up to 3 sockets and links and yes even those very large Tower Shields still only get 3 sockets. 2-Handed Weapons and Chest - These can have up to 6 sockets and links (5 sockets can show up on gear at Act 4, 6 sockets and links show up on gear at act 6) Do not count on this to happen all the time, mostly you will find 3 and 4 socketed and linked gear. Helmet - Boots - Gloves - All of these can have 4 sockets on them. Hope this helps you a bit for now. So like I said no need to keep those items in your stash if no one will use it. I even keep stuff I should not be keeping. "Well, I can level a new character with this and that." No don't do it, you will always find something better. Trust me something better always comes along. |

My advice:
When leveling try to get through each zone as quick as you can, stopping only to kill large packs or specifically blue and yellow monsters for maximum xp. Don't obsess over getting every item picked up. Priorities are 1. movespeed on boots (faster is better), 2. +resists (you will need this in act 5 onward), 3. 4-link items (or more if you are extremely lucky), 4. weapon or spell damage, attack speed or cast speed. 5. R-G-B socket items which sell to vendor for 1 chromatic orb. Once you have saved up several chaos worth of orbs, especially chaos and alchemy orbs, check out poe.trade for gear upgrades. I usually find some 20%+ movespeed boots and high dps weapons as soon as possible. Once you kill Kitava in act 5 resists go down by 30%. You will need to get as close to cap as possible at this point. Act 10 kill it goes down by another 30%. So before you start mapping then you will need to search poe trade for +resist gear. Other than that, just have a plan with your build and have fun! |
