[3.5] CheeQu's CoC Ice Nova Assassin - Up to 7m Shaper DPS + Amazing Clearspeed [In-Depth Guide]
I stopped using Herald of Ice. Did not notice any difference for clear speed and damage at all. I think Herald of Ice is only good if you do a 4 link setup with it. Now I have the options for:
1. Vitality + Watchers Eye life gain on hit 2. Discipline + Watchers Eye es gain on hit 3. Aspect of Spider Does anyone know which 1 of the 3 is best?

how do you have any self sustain [health leech] for end game with your build? looks like you dumped warlord's at some point

Just curious, haven't read through everything yet, but isn't a crafted shield better?
I mean Lycosidae doesn't offer "that" much. The main point is "can't evade attacks" so that no accuracy is required right? With the new crafted mods of Betrayal we got the mod "Can't evade attacks" for crafting, so we could theoretically craft an incredible shield for even higher damage or defence based on desire (HC/SC). Have you thought about looking into that for your build? Or is there something I'm missing here?
" There is nothing new about that cant be evade mod - vagan used to sell it like candy once a day.. Now it's unvielded but same problem it's only on weapon. We need cospris to launch our frostbolts that double ice novas DPS so we have to get cant be evaded someplace else and lyco is only item or go for super high accuracy which is impractical. Git R Dun!

Hey all,
I've been trying out this build and enjoyed it so far up in red maps and a red elder (where we both died on my last portal, hopes were shredded, as he dropped one). But i feel like i've hit a wall and can't seem to figure out where to invest next. I've spent a lot of time comparing my build to the original and can't seem to figure out where the massive ice nova DPS difference comes from. Mine seems to be doing a quarter of what the orginal POB link seems to imply from CheeQu (great guide by the way) I even tried cheating my gems levels/quality and links but even then i'd end up at about half the dps for ice nova (not considering attack speed / cdr here, just the raw ice nova dmg from chest links) I'll leave my POB and if someone more knowledgeable than me could take a look and help me figure out where to go from here i'd appreciate it a lot. Some obivous things are my jewels which both have one useless line and my chest to ideally get 6 linked but i feel like there's something else i'm missing and i'd really like to tackle uber elder with this build. Here's my POB ; https://pastebin.com/nfP4nTQa Thanks!
" Ah, my bad. Thought it would work on Shields as well :( Crafting a Off-hand sword (same AS as cosp.) wouldn't work either I guess as you would reduce your proccs by 50% right? Lycosidae just looks so "weak" except for the hits can't be evaded effect.
" Nice setup. Your gear is insane though, not realistic for a lot of us. |
|
" Thats a nice tree too. But I dont like giving up AOE and flask effects. I like my toons that can do all content...aoe maps, bosses, no curse, no regen, etc Or at least as much content as possible. EB route has a fundamental weakness too... cant run no regen maps. Typically in POE everyone ajusts for bosses and rerolls maps like everyone will have to re-roll ele reflect here. I'm just trying to minimize it's weaknesses. This build has such silly DPS (4-8m) and good mitgation there is gonna be plenty of variations that are totally viable. Git R Dun!

So if im running EB with the watchers eye that gains es on hit whilst using discipline, can i essentially reserve almost all of my mana and not have to worry about cyclone mana cost issues?
Run blasp/enfeeble (35) discipline (35) and either hoi (25) or aspect of spider (25) for 95% mana reserved? Also, between the two, is hoi, or aspect of the spider better overall for the build? Hoi i imagine adds a tiny bit more dps, while spider adds another layer of defense. Last edited by GeneralDurph on Jan 4, 2019, 4:40:57 AM
