Hi rahsaan!
Thanx for a good build!
What about Brutal Restraint jewel?Hes is still actual at this build?

I've tried a dozen Brutal Restraint jewels with divine orbs, in the Shadow or Ranger sockets.
Best I could get gave me phys as extra cold, DEX and life.
That was good, but after all, I realised that a Viridian jewel with four good mods is often better.
Timeless Jewels look cool, but they make things more complicated. If you find a really good one, use it, but I consider them optional. They work best for a strictly DEX-stacking cold bow build.

Huh, I seem to be playing a fairly similar build ... Although mine is a bit of a mess, since I still have to figure out all the changes that have happened since I stopped playing.

Seems all good to me.

I see you use Skitterbots : does it work well ?

Sorta irrelevant question. How do you get PoB to calculate the full 39% of damage increase for the Pride Skill like you did rather than just 19%? Can't seem to figure out how to get it to work.

It works fairly well... They rarely lag behind and the AI is pretty good, so they'll run ahead, based on where your mouse cursor is.

Seeing as I have them in a white socket, it's fairly easy to swap them out when I feel like using something else...which has been Hatred more often than Pride.

Even with the nerf, I find I'm using skitters in more and more build concepts I come up with... Having said that, they're useless if you already have a way to shock/chill reliably. XD

Have you tried using impale instead of fortify and how was it? I'm thinking of getting rid of Pulverize since 15% less aps is kinda annoying
...

Edit: I don't know if you've mentioned it in the guide, but people should quality infused channeling asap, as it reduces the time needed to get the 6s buff. It took me a while before I realized that. XD

Quite simple actually, I had to learn it though :D

It's a long story... It does work very well against fat bosses. But eventually, I chose to not use it, to get a better minimal DPS. Was the best way to survive in hard 500+ Delves. And the DPS remained very good against bosses nonetheless.

Since your bots chill, you could use Hypothermia.
Also, you may try Energy Leech. Very powerful.

I hadn't thought of Hypothermia... Not a bad idea, actually... I was planning on trying to make an elemental version of the build in the future, so leveling a Hypo gem wouldn't be a waste.

I'll probably going to farm Syndicate and try and get a couple of white sockets on my chest, so I can swap out gems depending on the situation.
Porcupines and using Hatred - Hypothermia
Chunky bosses- Impale
Rippy maps/Delve- perma Fortify.

Honestly, I love how versatile the build has become...
I even did a phys reflect map... Required a diamond flask, though...

Hm, I'll have to give Energy Leech a try as well...
So much testing, so little time...

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions, btw. :)

One simple thing :
Multiple Totems + Ancestral Protector + Vaal Ancestral Warchief

That's easily 35% more DPS.

I talked about that the other day.

Get 100% reduced reflected dmg taken

In 3.9, it's now trivial to ignore the most annoying mods of maps, "monsters reflect 15% elem/phys dmg".

The new version of Sibyl's Lament ring now gives 80% reduced reflected dmg (up from 40% before).

With Master of Force on the tree, we get 100% reduced reflected phys dmg taken.
And with Yugul's Pantheon, 100% for elem dmg.

Finally, after years of skipping those maps, we can do them safely !

I noticed it's a huge QoL to have a "free" ring, meaning a ring you can swap for another, so with no elem res on it, no mandatory mods etc.
This way, you can do all maps mods.

Phys/elem reflect ?

Temporal Chains ?

On the long run, it's cheaper than to reroll the maps.

I tried your build, and I love it, however it's expensive and I can't buy the required items...

Gonna do a detailed msg with budget options.

Actually, I was talking about the ascendancy that gives us reflect immunity for our crits.
Since we're close to crit capped, a diamond flask gets us immunity until we get full power charges/in case crit is under 100% with the charges.
There's a veeery small chance a hit or two will get reflected, but since our damage kind of sucks when we don't crit, it's not a big deal.

Edit: Opportunistic. That's the name...

It's pretty awesome for twinned maps as well, since it gives 10% reduced damage taken while there are two unique enemies nearby.

Budget versions of the build

First, I want to say that this build has no mandatory items. Sure, some items are BiS (best in slot), like Starkonja, Ryslatha's belt, Shaper's gloves, but you can always do without.

My current character in league, level 87 : https://pastebin.com/u4AJ17Fb
Budget : ~100c

Daggers : 25c each
Helmet : 1c
Body : 15c
Belt : 10c
Rings and amulet : 5c each
Boots, gloves : SSF, dirt cheap.

Total : >100c with tree jewels, anointments, quality currencies etc.

My previous PoB from this league :

Solo self-found = 0 budget.
- Level 30, act 3, the Docks : https://pastebin.com/8k6ZWqnc
- Level 49, act 5, Kitava : https://pastebin.com/BCpAieL1 -as you can see, I'm beginning the travel west to MoM
- Level 57, act 7, Greust : https://pastebin.com/c92s0mwf

- Level 62, act 8, Doedre : https://pastebin.com/TEq6RG5e
Mind over Matter
Budget = 2 vaal for 2 Taproot Daggers

- Level 71, act 10, Kitava : https://pastebin.com/Kp7qcj3z
A 5L body for 1c

- Level 76 : https://pastebin.com/Ldju5Gyj
One rare dagger with 1.8 APS, 270 pDPS = 10c

- Level 81 : https://pastebin.com/1QJeMyER

I've spawned Sirus for the first time in standard.
At first, it went well : I could remove 25% of his life quite fast.
And then, he suddenly killed me. Just before a black storm appears on me... Yeah, very fair from you.

After that, the fight looked like a (glitchy) Interstellar : I got repeatedly sucked into black holes.

In this fight, you spend most of your time managing those black storms to keep them out of your way. And when you reach Sirus again, he is floating in the air, in some perma-invuln phase.
I'm in no hurry to try again. After the 4 Conquerors, which are nicely animated and have good attacks, this is a disappointment.

*

Anyway, I wanted something fresh to begin this year. So, for the first time, I've done the Cortex fight from Synthetis.
Well, the music is epic, the scenery is beautiful, and the fight itself is very well thought out, with several clever telegraphed attacks.
Feels like a retro-industrial Starcraft (another game I love !)
All in all, one of the best fights in the game :)

So here you go, my first video of 2020 :

#5 : Cortex

Hope you like it :)

If I use tombfist, what's the most optimal sockets color, links, gems and Abyssal socket?
