The wording should be changed. From its current
" to something like "more Lightning Damage with Spells" (or "Spell Skills", which I think is the same nowadays though?) for example. To clarify that it also increases ignite/poison damage; which it seems to do according to Path of Building. (Because "Spell Lightning Damage" sounds too similar to "Spell Damage", which never applies to Ailments & DoTs!) | |

No, the description is correct. It is a spell damage modifier, and as such only applies to spell damage.
It will only apply to ailments or DoT in cases where a something explictily makes spell damage modfiiers apply to those things. |
