Hatred

But....I can activate my aura and then just put the gem in my inventory, with the skill still active&working. Why isn't this regarded a bug?
Or is it? (Maybe I got you wrong.)

it will be if it persists after the next patch, else for now, it is a feature. the balance is that when the gem isn't in socket, it isn't getting exp. so it's sorta fine.

next patch might make auras as well as minions persist between areas (i'm behind on information so someone correct me please). if the game counts a non equiped but still on aura as still "there" in next zone, then that definitely would be a bug.
This skill feels bizarre for a dexterity skill. It would feel much better as an intelligence skill.
As a dexterity skill, I would have expected increased movement speed and perhaps attack speed. You can still call it hatred if you like. Or excitement.
Underrated stats: Basic human decency, small quantum of respect, microportion of compassion
IAS is already on an aura; Haste. It also grants Cast speed.

Hatred does make you faster... Relatively.
Dexterity isn't only about being fast, it's also about making the enemy slower. Freeze Mine, Ice Shot, Temporal Chains and Hatred are all examples of this principle. I guess Elemental Hit as well, but it's random.
I think this gem should only require dex to be leveld up. im playing a ranger and i am using it to increase my damage. My Hatred is level 2 and I am level 31. im using hatred since level 5'ish....

I will never be able to level hatred even tough its a green gem, because of the int requirement. that feels kinda stupid. :(
Can it be that hard to pick up a single +30 Int node?
The majority of skill gems have two stat requirements.
Zaanus:
Global chat: Mechanics for A work one way, B for another, C for a third but also with A, B uses C but not A, and D uses A&B but not C

Isn't a "no" better than an ignore?

The no-brainer one seems to be the one next to the Piercing Shots node if you're going Bows. The other one nearby only gives access to some relatively mundane Claw skills. There's also 2 10 Int nodes on the way to the center of the tree, next to some elemental resistance skills.

Another solution is items... It's pretty easy to get a nice chunk of stats from an amulet.
does cold penetration work linked with hatred ? because logic would say yes ( at least, it would make sense that a cold proc would work with a cold debuff ), but I'm really far away from being sure of it.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

no, aura isn't doing damage, your attacks (and spells) are, which the aura boosts.
I read through all the pages of this thread and didn't see what I'm curious about. The gem says the following:

"
You and nearby allies add 20% of your physical damage as cold damage.

So my question relates more to Hatred and its interaction with Minions. I had always assumed Hatred was going based off the damage Minions did, but after reading the actual skill, are minions getting extra Cold damage depending on my weapon? If I switch from a relatively weak spell caster wand to a stronger physical one handed weapon (Or even 2H but I wouldn't do that), will that mean my Minions get even more Cold damage because the weapon I'm using is stronger?

If I take passive nodes to increase my physical damage, like "Increase damage with maces by 12%", and I'm using a mace, will that extra damage ultimately get translated into more Cold damage for my Minions?
