i've dropped exceptional performance nod and 2 points leading to it (total 3) (skill effect duration+) for art of the gladiator (with fertile mind jewel 3 points to gladiator gives me +40 to int).

what do you think guys?

ed.: i've also spent 5 ponits to void barrier nod which gives me with fertile mind additional +20 int and as well ES increase and resses.

need opinion about it as well.

So I finally got around to coloring my 6L staff to try out some things that have been on my mind for a bit...

I'm absolutely loving WO+GMP+CWC+CP+CD+Hypo as a clear setup so far.


PS: Everyone keeps mentioning a Corrupted Astramentis, but they aren't actually very good value vs a crafted amulet at the price range you find them in...

So those duration nodes... if you're not actively using Winter's Orb, they don't do all that much most of the time... BUT when things live longer than ~3 seconds, or you stand do stand still and cast for more than ~3 second, they suddenly increase your total DPS by a whopping 45% more... I'm not sure I'd want to give that up, personally.

Those nodes seem decently efficient, but realistically you're giving up jewel sockets for them until late 90s or something (looks like you're missing a Fertile Mind to take those?), so by the time they're a reasonably optimal choice, you probably won't really need that res anymore, and will have plenty of ES?

Already discussed in scion fire version - better damage first 4 sec, but you are losing a lot of ES on hit after watcher eye and worse damage after 4 sec (because you have less icestorms on the target).

Is it worth spending 3 points for Fingers of Frost just above the Ghost Reaver node? It adds decent synergy for ice builds such as this one.

understood your point, i'll try duration modes again, explanation is clear to me.

i have 1700 int and 9100 es atm, on 90lvl, i'm struggling a bit with resses though (fire 65 and cold 36 (i know, terrible)), but i'll remove those points leading to void barrier and i'll try to use one more socket (maybe i'll add jewel with resses and +to cold damage/spell?) i have 3 fertile minds atm and one str jewel.

ED.: hehe just bought perfect jewel for me for 35c:
16% increased Spell Damage while wielding a Staff
14% increased Cold Damage
+9% to all Elemental Resistances
+14% to Cold Resistance

ed2.: and another one for 4c fixed my all ress problems:
16% increased Spell Damage while wielding a Staff
5% increased Cast Speed while wielding a Staff
+12% to Cold Resistance
+10% to Fire and Cold Resistances

(resses on jewels are ofc temporary solution before ill upgrade gear)
