[3.8] A CI/LL Tri-Curse Herald of Agony Occultist [Deathless Uber Elder, League Starter]

how is it more recharge when Bated has +50% ?
I'm entirely new to the game and decided to start with this build. I've been having a surprising amount of luck running sorrow of the Divine as one of my flasks. Seems to aid damage and survivability a reasonable amount.

Is it a good move?

the 40% dmg does not work on the crawler, all you get out of that flask is the 6% es regen.

I know it doesn't work on the crawler, but before I could really get better ES/build items, it helped take advantage of any spare hp regen on my gear. The extra damage on rain of arrows became negligible, but helped somewhat when leveling.

Not sure how much the 6% es Regen is worth in a flask though

20% Energy recovery rate on the belt

It's about equal to bated breath.

Can someone please explain to me how the mana reservation works. I'm currently leveling this character and I'm only 44 so excuse me if I'm speaking to soon.

At my current progress I cannot run Herald @ 6l (Tabula) and Disc at the same time - I am having to run Herald with only 2 links attached because it is currently taking up 59% mana - What with Disc taking up 35% I'm strugging to see how I get all the links on it.

At full links it takes up 73% mana which is impossible to run both disc and herald.

Will this improve one I get higher levels - I sound like a noob but I've never touched these new heralds before.

Biggest thing this build needs is the 30% reduced HoA reservation enchant on a helmet. Without it you might be able to squeeze in 1-2 auras with mana reservation nodes and enlighten but not much more.
I agree with Teosmaomao, crafting a +3 multimodded vicious projectiles bow doesn't provide many benefits over a regular +3 multimodded short bow. I was able to kill Uber Elder with a regular +3 multimodded bow and only level 3 empower. Vicious projectiles also has the downside of "Supported Skills have 10% less Projectile Attack Speed", meaning that the DPS increase isn't as high. It's still 20% more damage according to my POB, but I feel like once you get to the point where you can kill Uber Elder, there's no point in getting more.

However, if you do want to craft your own +3 Vicious Projectiles bow, I would HIGHLY recommend using the bestiary craft that removes a suffix and adds a random prefix. You would use this when you have a bow with Vicious Projectiles as the only prefix, and have crafted cannot roll attack mods but failed to hit the prefix with your exalt. Pretty sure this saved me a lot of currency, although prior to utilizing the craft I spent roughly 10 ex (not including the 6L base).

You would NOT want to use the beast craft. You dont have room for a random prefix you need all three. Unless you are saying that you can do the beast craft after putting "Cannot roll attack mods" on the bow and it will give you the +1 gems. In that case it would save you 1 exalt.

It's like saying that building a stronger charecter has not many benefis over buiding a weaker. While it can be true for you, this entirely depends on one's goals an reasons to play. Some people play to figure out their building options and use the content as a testing tube. Some people value their "its 2% better" findings and ideas more then their mechanicall skills of avoiding shaper balls.

That beast craft is a great find though. It really saves a lot here. As far as i understand, that craft transforms to either 2.5ex or 3ex of value at this spot. Depends on game's affix rolling rules. If exalting is a 50% chance between a prefix and a suffix, then its 2.5ex. If exalting gives equal weight to all possible mods, its almost 3ex of value.

Well it is exactly like you said, some people like playing 1 build to the end and making it as strong as possible, others (like me) like to try various builds and chars throughout the league trying diffrent skills etc, there are poeple that cant or dont have time to farm dozens of exalts, others like to hoard currency and only spend the necessary.

I was just pointing out that i regretted crafting the bow and for me it wasnt that much of a diffrence for my standards and for how i like to play the game. in this game for example there is no diffrence having 10m dps or 100m dps the experience is the same (1shotting and phasing bosses instantly). That line is lower for me as in doesnt matter if i 4shot or 3shot an Architect, or doing uber in 2.5mins instead of 4mins.

I was stating clearly that the Elder bow gives 35% dps bump to me and it looked good but it just wasnt the 15ex upgrade i expected. On another post i wrote what i will say now, leave the bow craft for last, grab the Helm enchant and other stuff that are cheaper and give you more bang for your buck.

Happy new Year to Everybody and thank you all for keeping this build fresh and improving it and pushing it further and further all the time.
