[3.10] OneShotKill Elemental Hit Ballista Hiero - 9.6 million DPS - EZ Boss Killer + budget friendly
Just downed uber elder with this build. This was my first league, i started out late so i missed the early money making chances. I put around 5ex and some chaos into this build and downed uber elder on the third try.
Big thanks for creating this, I tried about 5 other builds this league and didnt really love any of them, got going with this one and never looked back, its been very fun!! |

Anyone have a video of killing Uber Elder?

" Hey buddy, like to hear you did uber elder. Got so many messages from ppl who did first time shaper or uberelder after releasing this guide. This makes up for all the hours I spend to create the guide. Thanks a lot for all the nice words guys! I´m glad to help you guys with this build / guide. During fight it is all about movement, character placement and predicting the attacks during the fight. With more training, it will become very very easy. Gonna try this in Betrayal. Unless theres some huge nerf to Elemental hit. Looks really fun.

" Same here. It will be my boss killer and I'm going to make a CoC assassin for a fun build. My plan is to start with shadow as first character and aquire toxic rain and RAT so the heiro can level with TR totems right from lvl 12. Smite is good leveling but it's just boring for me honestly. GL in betrayal! https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/988f3369-4b68-4eb9-bc0e-edfce4c3c950

Great build, thank you for sharing. One of smoothest builds I ever played. Just tried it in last weeks of Delve, definitely will be playing it in Betrayal.
A bit to add for those who don't know - best way to get max dps: 1. corrupted Skirmish, 2. +1 curse of Yoke (combining Projectile Weakness with Flammability), 3. +1 arrow on bow (+2 projectiles with Dying Sun is really insane). Other things according to PoB are not so important. Of course any x2-3 ele Opals are good, but so not necessary. Use Phase Run! Just f do it! And you can throw out the Quicksilver flask. In difficult places use Grace + Enfeeble not to die so much. Some questions: Why you didn't pick up the 3 crit nodes near Acrobatics they boost your DPS a lot? And maybe there's a spot there for Enduring or Abyssal Cry somewhere in the build? What about Commandment of Light on those gloves? Also would look into using that unique Silver flask in Betrayal. Again thanks for this awesome lag- & budget- friendly fun build. Cheers! |

Can't decide if I want to run this as Hiero or Chieftain/Slayer. The damage seems ridiculous enough as it is that I wouldn't particularly need Hiero for it. I'm thinking Chief/Slayer overleech would make this a comfortable labrunner, plus tree position & RT.
On the other hand, I'm playing SC anyways, and the faster totem placement and better coverage from +2 totems on Hiero makes for better QOL while mapping, plus who doesn't enjoy doing omgwtfridiculous damage... |

HYPE for 3.5 :-)
I´ll add a new leveling section as soon as the final patch notes will be released and the PoB update is available. I´m looking forward to see many of you bringing some Ele Hit Totems to Betrayal League. Thanks for all the nice words and compliments on the guide! You rock, guys! Cheers |

So I put together a "trial run" of this build at the end of delve after selling my jugg's gear, killed shaper at lvl 80, and decided to run this build as my league starter for 3.5. It looks like Hiero is losing 1 totem overall, and the compensation is a +1 totems shield craft, which this build can't use. Straight up 20% damage loss? Still feel like this build will be fine though considering I decimated t16 maps and killed shaper without any corruptions besides point blank on quiver.

" Hi buddy, I read the manifesto too. But please be patient until the whole patch notes are released (tomorrow). The Hierophant Ascendency loses a totem, but right now we don´t know on which new items (crafted rolls) we can get +1 totem right now. Things we know so far: 1) -1 totem from ascendency (nerf) 2) +3% flat damage increase per totem (buff) 3) +1 maximum totem roll on items (we don´t know on which items we can get it) 4) A new support gem "totem support" with +2 totems. 5) cast two totems per cast = faster maximum damage is out, just two casts and 4 totems are up. (buff) As soon as the new version of PoB will be released, I will have a deeper look at it. Possible solutions: 1) roll of +1 totem on items (perhaps on boots too - we don´t know it yet - we just know for sure that it will be able to be crafted on shields) 2) perhaps we can get +1 totem on rare (yellow) quivers as a crafted roll -> so we can get a much better quiver than "skirmish" (damage-wise), so we don´t loose damage overall because we get a nice rare damage-quiver (even with +1 arrow on a shaper base). 3) A new gems setup in the frostferno with the new totem support gem (get +2 totems). Perhaps we will end up with a total of 6 totems then. And every totem will increase the damage for 3% = 18% total increase, that equalizes the "less damage roll of the gem" (approx. -20% on level 20) and the +2 totems compensates the loss of the "ele damage attack gem". AND: with 6 totems we have more life regen due to our ascendency... conclusion: We just don´t know it yet - be patient. Perhaps it isn´t a real nerf after all... And even in worst case with 4 totems the damage is still very very great. Cheers |
