GhazzyTV - 20+ mil sDPS Dominating Blow & Herald of Purity [LOW & HIGH BUDGET VERSIONS]

Hi, never made a Forumpost before, so i dont know much about linking stuff .

i like this build, but its really weak in the endgame, so i searched for options to boost the dmg.

for the CWDT setup i switched increased duration with vulnerability. (dont know, why people take vulnerability. the cursed target has to hit all our minions first, to grant the buff)

i switched from the brightbeak, who gives nothing but dmg, to a delve crafted elder weapon, that has also attack speed support. and i socketed herald of purity in it. also i now have blind crafted on the weapon, so i can get another free gem. i chose vaal haste. we dont have enough mana to use normal haste, but the vaal haste is a nice buff at bossfight, where we are the weakest (carefull with the level. it needs 155dex at 20 - i have 156 in total)

i also have elder gloves with attack speed support, so i can switch that gem in the smite setup, to use culling strike instead, also nice against high live targets.

most important. i have 6 eye jewels. if i can get to 100(or 99) i will go for another one.
important stats: since we use hatred a T1 phys roll is best. then another T1 elemental roll (fire, cold or lightning)
as suffix we want the %Minion damage, using a minion skill + attack and cast speed if killed recently. both can be granted with the writhing jar, even when no mobs are arround.
i have 7,8K life with that setup, so no real need for a life roll on jewels. if i get killed by something, its oneshot anyways


basicly i search extra %minion dmg on every item possible.
the next are the rings. also i want a belly with some nice corruption.
i know, im probably do way too much stuff for this build and its not worth it. but its fun!

edit: i can do all red maps. guardians: hydra is tricky. phoenix is really hard, minotaur can be facetanked, if not too many dmg mods. and chimera is my farming ground.
red elder is okay to do and shaper also.
didnt try upper elder or atziri yet, i dont think i have enough for them yet

I gave up on using this build as on a certain point you hit the ceiling (hard)

It's a very good starter build, and I had no issues running most reds maps, red guardians etc, but I got stuck on Red Elder and higher lvl Mastermind encounters etc.

The build is just too dependant on a few skills that will bust you in longer fights (or after dying).
It's hard to generate new minions once you're writhing flask is down during boss encounters, and being unable to summon Vaal Skellies on these encounters don't help either.

So, to my conclusion, this build is OK to get into red maps, but I found the gear ceiling and dependancies on the above mentioned skills too restricting for endgame content

Hey. I played this build a lot this league and it was really fun.
The Guide itsself is a nice Base to build upon and Ghazzy made a really smooth to watch video. In fact this build was so much fun for me that I took it to lvl 99 as of now. I have killed Shaper, Elders (gave up on Uber Elder, because it kept spawning in t15s instead of Shaper and after the 6-, 7-, 8th-ish try I gave up on spawning it and just setup my elder blob), Uber Atziri, lvl 83 Catarina and even 2 Auls on him.

To really get it endgame viable and the tank beast that it is i grabbed Ele Equilibrium with fire dmg on my necklace. I switched the Charge Ascendancy for the Block one which is insanely OP vs the Syndicate.
Also not having End. Charges made me use the Ahn's Shield for +max resis.
The Scourge Claw is insanely powerful for this build so grabbed it as my weapon option, if you run your whirling blades setup in it, your doggo gets fortify and faster attacks and you can actually kill stuff without your minions around with that claw. I focused on life and physical dmg on the ghastly jewels. Taunt, blind and hinder for further defensive layers. I grabbed the aura nodes near the Templar to get my mana reservation to a lvl where I could use War Banner its really strong. Since I managed to corrupt a lvl 4 Enlighten I dropped the two reservation nodes in there for more aura effectiveness and a skillpoint. Grab them if you dont have a lvl 4 Enlighten and get War banner running.

This is the gear I managed to collect for the guy during this league, while having had switched to a Bowie inbetween, I still started the league on him without the gear i got now at lvl 99. I was using a Stygian for the longest time till i got my HH and the Jewels are partly self rolled and bought/ Leo-Exalted.



Dominating Blow is a really fun skill that can take you well into red maps on a very small Budget and if you can scale it up its literally insane!

I am really happy to have started out this league with a Ghazzy build for my second time now, the first time beeing SRS back when it was cool with Pledge of Hands ^.^

i play this game since beta and i tried this build in 3.5. it was the smoothest league start i ever have experienced in this game! fun, tanky easy to play!

Trying a somewhat modified version of this build in Synthesis, doing great. (still in early mapping)
This new ring is amazing for this build:

with it, you can (albeit with harder crafting), get a Minion Damage support mod on the helmet, so your Herald is 5L. With a Glyphic fossil, I will also try to get the "Supported gems gain 50% of phys dmg as extra lightning" essence mod, so I get basically a 6L Herald.
Another new unique to look after would be the new Bottled Faith flask, and, if you get double spectres (frenzy and power charges monkeys) you can scale alot of crits on bosses, so I use an Animated Guardian equipped with the 'new' Kingmaker axe

Also, since using the Writhing Jar is almost impossible with the Spectres and Guardian around, I'm going to use a Spectral Spirits crafted offhand:

With it, I have 3 extra permanent minions that deal good damage and help me start the killing on the beginning of a map. Isolated bosses like Izaro still gives trouble, though..

Hello, I'm rather new to this and have a question:

Smite Buffer:

- Smite, Generosity, Hatred, Faster Attacks

I thought Smite was just for leveling, but now that I'm almost done completing my items for the build I realized that this seems to be part of the complete build?

Why would I want to use smite, when I would normally attack with DomBlow? Or am I missing something here? I see Gem options listed for 6 items and that includes the Smite setup.
