They have a slow cast time vs Solar Guards (1.33 v 0.85)
They have a much lower damage range ves Solar Guards (1423 to 2135 vs 2085 to 3128)

If you think their Flameblast saves them...




It's worse than Delirium fog. You cannot see anything at all.

Unfortunately, it won't work. For minions, the gem or jewel or any item must have the word 'minion' or 'spectre'.

The most important is to get +1 intelligence on your amulet. If you have +1 on you wand and you weapon swap to Arakaali dagger, you will lose one spectre because the gem level 25 -> 24.

Spectre will refresh when you re-zone. eg. go into map from HO.

Yes! Just use the 6-link gems for SDs in the body instead of EVF. I don't really recommend SDs because they die too easily. The Spectres and Spiders build is for using hard hitting slow spectres with fast spiders.

If you don't like EVF, I recommend Baranite Thaumaturges or Esh Spiders.

I made this build guide at the end of 3.9, so it uses the spirit offering abuse, so that's changed. Also the spectres are level 85 in the video, but are level 83 in 3.10 because of the spectre nerf. It's about 10% less damage.

The opening video is T16 summit with: +2 monster level, 3x additional mobs, shaper mobs, elder mobs, triple beyond.

PoH build might clear better with GFR (mag orb pierce) but not with SG (no pierce).

Bossing is about the same, but feels really different. EVF hit hard but are melee so need to move. Spell casters have longer DPS time.

You really need Arakaali Dagger.

It is possible to play only with EVF, but mapping is a bit slow. I've done it.

You will have to run with Zombies for clearing. Also Summon Phantasm linked to the EVF will help with clear speed.

I think it's probably just the problem of melee spectre and the slow movespeed. SOE has a ranged attack so the DPS is always hitting.

You can replace EVF with SOE or BT in the Spectre and Spider build.

Spectres and Spiders is tankier because the spider's poison kill count as player kills and there are many way to get 'recover life on kill'. You will still need to be careful, but the sustain is much better.

I haven't finished updating Spectres and Spiders, but I'm aiming to finish the video today.

So, have there been any new good spectres? I kind of wanna jump into PoE and be a Spectre Summoner again, but I really dislike having to use the same Spectres every league.
