It gets better! If you have Trigger + Offering on your wand and Spell Echo + Raise Spectre:

When you try to raise a spectre, offering will eat the corpse, then spell echo will raise two random spectres. They will never be the one you wanted :)

I have a question about the skills that are linked to the wand.

Since the wand has "trigger a socketed spell when using a skill" mod on it, that means I only need to cast either desecrate, summon skeleton or bone offering and the other two will have a chance to trigger right?

In that case, which two skills do I ignore and which one do I cast?

I'm only in early maps, but I've been running 4 zombies with mon'treguls + thamaturges, and it feels -so- smooth. The zombies instantly clear any trash packs, and the specs have enough supplimtary aoe + single target to make short work of any bosses (up to t6 so far). Not sure if it's really that much better or worse than slave drivers, but it's super smooth and I'm enjoying it. I tried the esh spiders and they were fun as well, plus a lot more bodies for blocking with all the clones they spawn.

Eventually, if I stay with mon'treguls, I think I may want to add in those EVF if they are the best single target clearers though.

Every skill you use will trigger the gems socket in that wand. From top to bottom.

So if you flamedash out of something, or use your brand skill or shieldcharge over the map, every time u trigger those 3 gems in the wand.

the skills in your wand are triggered by using ANY skill. not only those in the wand. so even if you use flame dash or convocation or armageddon brand they are triggered (with a internal cooldown and in a specific order)

Any new specter (like solar guards) which is good?

i dont like slave drivers,i prefer solar guards.

Solar Guards are still best in their style.

Faric Synthete is similar, but difficult to get and the flame blast blocks your view.
