you don't need to compare plaguebringer with commander of darkness because they don't really compete with each other. most people are dropping bone barrier for plaguebringer. already have enough active skills to be honest and i don't need to add another. between pots, phase run, convocation, brand, death mark, flame dash, it's just too much of a pain to add bone barrier in there as well

Nah I see alot of people use Bone Armor with Plaguebringer. Its just too good for survi to pass it (atleast I like it alot).

I have desecrate, flesh and brand on trigger wand so pressing BA is not a problem for me.

Probably will test it later myself but first I wanna level up yet kill uber elder with current setup (dont have much free time).

Are you 100% sure you are using Slave Drivers? They need to be from Act5 "Control Blocks". There are also some from Act10, but they are wrong (red whip).

Also, did you summon them one by one? It sometimes happen that people forget to remove "Spell Echo" from the links, so that 2 Spectres are raised simultaneously by accident. This has the effect that some other spectre gets raised.

I am in act 5, but I was using spell echo on my raise spectre *for shame*

EDIT: This was, indeed, the issue. And I feel like an idiot. But seriously, thanks for pointing that out. I was quite irritated lol.

I started playing PoE for the first time in 3.7 and this build was super easy to follow then. Overall not much has changed about how the build actually works in 3.8 so everything in the guide still applies. You may find some issues with gem or equipment setups in the guide itself but check the POB instead as they are almost always up to date.

I followed the leveling guide (From the moment 3.8 launched) and had no problems using it to level up and learned quite a few new things about early game with this build as many things had been adjusted from what the early game build of 3.7 was. The leveling guide was much easier to follow this time around.

And for your info this guide seems to get an update every few days since about 2 weeks before 3.7 actually even ended. In my opinion this guide is excellent and the individuals hanging out here are really helpful if you have specific questions. There are a lot of other summoner guides out there using raise spectre that do not even tell you which spectre to summon (Some friends ran into this issue) so overall I would argue this guide is a godsend and there is a reason it has so many views on it.

The two spell echos actually stack together so each spell hits 3 times. Spell Echo is where the bulk of the damage and clear of this build comes from.

You would want both to be 21 as the level of the gem reflects the level of spectre you get. The second one however does not need to have any quality %. Level 20 gem gets you level 80 spectres and for each level after 20 they increase by 1 level. Also at level 21 gem you can summon 3 spectres as your base amount so with a level 20 secondary gem you could only summon 2 as your base amount.

Yes, but it depends on your setup. I personally dont need clarity or another aura since I dont tune CoD. While any low cost aura works I run war banner for accuracy and bonus zombie damage since its 10% and helps cover the high end accuracy needs.

If you are running CoD you need a buff to affect you, so temp chains and wrath on Generosity will not, so anything you van fit there will work, which a level 1 clarity is nice.
