SO get a shotgun effect.

Normally SO shoot 3 projectiles in straight lines. Only one projectile can hit the same target.

With GMP or volley, they get extra projectiles + the projectiles change direction. So each projectile can hit the same target.

POB doesn't calculate it.

Thanks for using the Minion Army build in the gauntlet! I always appreciate feedback from hardcore because I don't play it.

Interested in playing summoner again next league, first time since 3.3 I think.

Got a small question - if I want to get to maps ASAP (<5 hours), is it better to just go the usual stormblast mines/OoS/WoC witch, respeccing later, or is summoner leveling actually viable nowadays? I remember last time I tried it, it was either slowing yourself down immensely by casting SRS, or just having extremely squishy summons around act 3's end and the entirety of act 4...

I think my fastest with pure summoner 1-10 was about 5hrs with tabula + goldrim + wanderlust. 1-4 was slow. pick up first lab and spectres in act 5. then rest of acts was just running through as fast as possible.

Unleash makes SRS much better now (4 in one cast) but after spectres, they're just for extra dps.

Maybe even faster to maps if you get SO spectres from 6666... but can't do that if you start when server's up.

Too bad the Ultimatum league wasn't fun. I only finished 24 challenges this time. Hopefully next league is more interesting :)

would love to start with your minion army build for next league and switch over to pure spectres later on.

What would be an good time ( items I should have at least ) to switch between the two ?

I'm thinking to change Minion Army starter build to 2 versions: 1. spectre in 6L and skele in 6L. and upgrade path is Pure Spectres or new skele build!

You can switch when you have 4 spectres (in 6L). Level 21 raise spectre gem and +2 from amulet/wand/boots and +2 from ascendancy. You can even use +1 tabula if it's cheap https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Ultimatum/v0PXCE

It's a good idea to level up 6x raise spectre in weapon swap and try to get 21 with vaal orb. (or just buy the gem...)

Try to get trigger craft (bone offering) and life recovery shield as soon as possible for survivability in red maps.

Wait until week 2 to buy diadem. It's always expensive in first week.

Cluster jewels are a bit tricky. They're cheap in early league because people want to sell them quickly, but prices will go up soon.

+1 spectre armour is kinda expensive nowadays especially for good stats, but you can try to find it with bad stats and cheaper price. Avoid dex base (hard to get right colours).
