Yes. These people always overreact to any nerfs.
The reality is this build was really really good and now it might be just good/ok even if they slap a 25% dmg nerf to RS.

A build doing 20M shaper dps is not going to die even if they slap a 30% dmg nerf on it. But people act like thats the case.

And the defensive nerfs, the old version of the build did not use any of that stuff and we did fine. A lot of necros out there did not use bone offering or cyclone/spirit offering (before the nerf), glancing blows and they did fine.

Hell, there are a lot of necros at lvl 100 that did not even pick mistress of sacrifice. They went with bone barrier/comander of darkness.

What will happen with this nerf is the gear we "need" will be cheaper because people will think necro is dead.

The thing that could really hurt the RS build is GGG overdoing the HP nerf. But even then you can just switch to a different spectre. Not the end of the world.

Just ignore everybody saying the build is dead. They do this all the time

decided to come back to spectres after harvest since no more op crafting :(

ppl should just chill regarding the changes, necro has been hit by nerfs after nerfs every league and still doing fine. just look at this thread which is made in 2018, its still very well alive. yes there are nerfs here and there but it doesnt matter. the nerfs wont make this build total garbage, IF you know what you're doing at least.

Do you have to do much gem/gear swapping with RK's for bossing? I wanted to try S&S I just had concerns that bossing was going to be super annoying.

Hey Kay, I want to say firstly that you put an insane level of effort into these builds, so, huge kudos for that.

I've never played a summoner in PoE. But I sort of want a bit more of a "relaxed" build for farming this league. And a build that had a lot more survivability.

I have been eye-balling your Spectre's & Spiders build, (I just really want to be tanky) and I just had one question, if you have the time, can you point out the key differences from your perspective between that build of yours, and the "Carry my golems" Carrion build?

I am still not sure which I want to go with.

Cant answer for new league obviously but for harvest all I switched was put on shield with holy flame totem instead of arakalis fang for bosses as you cant keep the spiders up on bosees without trashmobs.
So 1 fast gear swap and 1 more skill to hit, not bad at all.

Also considering melee spectres. Havent realy done a spectre build for a copple of leagues. Have played summoner since they released the spectre gem :)
I am exited to get into it again, just unshure on what way i want to go. Was a bit hyped by the ranged skelly alt quality gem + wall of fire for clear and then maybe some good single target spectre like RK or RS for bosses. Been watching your guides latley and they are amazing, and they are making me hyped for Heist 😁

This is my build choice in the new league

you will have to start with the base build, you will transition to pure spectre later if you have the helmet and level 25 raise spectre.

grab a shield with much life and the resistances you need until you can effort victarios.

So, you are a new player. Take it like the trailer for the league and stick to the build! Read it carefully and fulfill every single step. Then you cannot fail and you will have a great league start experience. :)
