How's the defense with necromantic aegis? I kept trying to use it, but was way too rippy on end game bosses, and maps, let alone going anywhere under 300 in delve. I could make a few changes, go back to NA and be over 100m dps, but feel like any mob so much as blows a kiss my way and I die lol.

Not him but I run N.A. too and I will tell you this: your shield does not matter at all in the grand scheme of your defense. So, it's better off boosting dps of your minions. Your squishiness comes from the original version of spectres build, which Kay admitted that it has no defense. You should just go for more defenses and ignore the shield.

Main lines of defense for me come from:

- 60%+ attack and spell blocks from Bone Offering (with Mistress of Sacrifice) and Glancing Blow; 75%-75% with rumi's;
- life gain on block from Bone Offering (yes, pls ditch flesh offering, it's a trap);
- regen, including regen from Enduring Cry;
- fortify from AG;
- 10% reduced damage from plague bringer ascendancy;
- enduring charges, it's 12% phys reduction without any investment, and always on even if I use Immortal Call as my main guard skill;
- Immortal Call, it's 80% less ele and 80% less phys for 1.5 sec every 4.5 seconds, which mean basically immortal during that time (I have no investment on duration);
- max chaos res, this cannot be stressed enough, Hunter's sneks will obliterate you;
- instant life flask of course, with ryslatha pantheon, it's perpetual flasks, I even use 3 life flasks in sirus fight just to have on-demand ele ailment immunity!
- and last but not least, my average 30 mil dps from my spectres, which nearly one shot all guardians or conquerors; A8 sirus cannot do anything in his last phase and Uber Elder changes phase almost instantly.

I've done Chimera smoke challenge without any spectre, just running around relying on my defense to tank through the last phase.

I only ripped like once every 20-30 maps and only if there's huge death flags like several t4 harvest bosses lagging the whole screen (I tell you, these guys' designs are stupid)! Normally, if I can press enduring cry, I think I'm almost immortal.

So, just don't think much about your shield defense, it's not that much.

With Harvest craft, it's easy.

With right base (shaper and elder) helmet level 86+

First step: goal is 30 more elemental damage and 2 suffix that can remove by harvest (2 resist is good)
I used essence of Horror to get 30 more elemental damage. If u are lucky u get +3 minions (craft of exile tell average 40 times). If not, switcht to step 2.

Second: goal is +3 minion and 1 open prefix, if u want mirror tier, try until get +3 with life or energy shield.

I used harvest craft "reforge keep suffix", until get +3 minions gem. I saw it have high chance to roll. it took me 5 time to get +3 minions gem. With me, unlucky it stack + mana.If u are lucky, u can roll +3 minions with life or energy shield, u can make mirror item.

Third: goal is minion damage support (i think this step cost much invest and currency if unlucky)

remove one suffix then craft caster mod cannot be roll to block caster mod of prefix.
Augment influence, i was so lucky when reached in first time with level 18. if not, remove/add influene until reached it.

Final: goal is hypo and + 3 spell critial. This step is very easy with harvest.

remove 2 bad suffix.

With hypo, aug cold then remove/add cold until reach level 20 hypo.
With + 3 spell: aug caster then remove/add caster until reach + 3.


That's my method to craft my helmet. IF anyone invest more and get lucky, can craft mirror tier helmet.
