If you're using 5L and you don't have endgame jewels (ie. 20% dmg), then you might want to swap phantasms with ele focus.

Once you get your 6L, you can leave phantasms in.


ps. If you want some jewels, I can give you some. They don't have 50 life, but they have minion damage and cast speed.



Thanks for the proposition. It's okay btw. I've a 6 link now and I begin to buy some jewel with cast speed/life. (I can't found any jewel with %damage with minions skill) I've taken AG for boost too.

I have 6k5 life, and take a watcher's eye with phasing for survability.

Nevertheless, I have some question about AG. Do I need to unsummoned him when I done "big" boss? Or Can he survived? I don't really know which thing I can done with or not.

EDIT: I've loose my AG on rewritten distant memory boss. All of my spectre died too... I've done all of other boss, I thank which I could pee on this boss too and I loose everything. Unable to done him. << I'm pretty disappointed on this point.

I don't understand why, no boss bonus, map level 79. Nothing dangerous, it's just weird.

Second Edit: Unable to clean Minautor on a corrupted unidentified map.

The major issue with spectre summoners is how GGG designed spectres, specifically the levelling process of the Raise Spectre gem & its interaction with the necromancer ascendancy. At level 1, Raise Spectre imposes a severe penalty on our spectres: 30% reduced damage, 20% reduced life, 20% reduce es, low accuracy. So, while you are levelling through the Acts, the build can weak/clunky/bad because spectre survivability is so poor, and they tend to die easily. This is why the Wraithlord unique helmet is recommended (+1000 life and 1% regen to minions).

There is a massive turnaround when you finish the second lab because the second notable (soul weaver) and gives your spectres 100% increased life and damage. Spectres no longer die at the drop of hat. So, from this point on, spectre builds feel 'easy'. You don't even need to do 3rd or 4th lab to be endgame viable.

Once you hit maps, gearing a spectre summoner is very easy (cheap) because their dps mainly comes from the skill gems/auras/curses; you only need to focus on getting life and resists on your gear. Of course, there is scope to increase spectres' damage to stupid levels with expensive gear (@Tusk_Luv got his build to 11mil shaper dps), but you can reach an 'endgame' level with very little investment (@Oxidiser killed uber elder with tabula at level 83 with level 19/0 gems). Alternatively, you can build for survivability while maintaining a baseline dps (my personal build).

I'll add this information into a 'how the build works' section at a later date.

Just completed my personal Challenge "Reach 600 Depth in Delve" :D I had to use Enfeeble Curse instead of EleWeakness for the last 50 Levels (incoming damage was too much and Minions still did their job perfectly). Thank u very much for ur Build and recommendations. The Challenge was so intense for me that i need Break from Poe now.. till friday... haha :D

6k5 life is pretty good for the basic build - I had 6k7 last league. You would need to look at some of the custom builds to see how to get to 8k+.

AG is a bit risky for big bosses if the boss has increased critical strike. The risk becomes higher if they also have damage mod or elemental penetration.

If you consider the Minotaur. His damage is 4943. His slam does 150% damage: about 7500 damage. If you have a damage mod (100% more damage) then his slam is doing 15000, and if he crits. It's even higher. So, it's very possible for AG to get killed.

The nexus bosses can be difficult because they have some big hits and also use ground aoe (degen). You will need to take care with minions standing in the degen and taking hits at the same time. But I'm not sure why an i79 boss with no mods could be able to kill minions and AG.

Gratz on reaching 600!

If you're planning to use the build for Flashback, I've done a major overhaul of the build: new passive tree, new gem links and new levelling guide. The emphasis going forward will be to emphasise survivability while still having big dps.

I've also been theorycrafting a new idea to improve survivability. My home internet is currently down, so I haven't been able to test it.

If you (or anyone) has time to try it out, the idea is to replace Desecrate & Vaal Summon Skeletons with Vaal Blade Vortex & Elemental Proliferation; keep Flesh Offering. Next we need 'added cold damage to spells' somewhere (crafted onto the wand?). We should have a constant 1-2 stacks of BV (BV duration = 5s, trigger cooldown = 4s). Elemental Proliferation gives +20% change to freeze and can spread freeze/chill beyond BV's radius (if you hit a monster at the edge of BV's radius, Ele Prof should spread the ailment at a farther +15 radius). I'm not sure if unlinked BV with added cold damage is enough to freeze, but the chill ailment should work. Could also replace Flesh Offering with Hypothermia or Ice Bite or Inc Duration for more BV stacks and more hits/sec.

Now if the crafted blind works, it will also have a 20% chance to blind everything in BV radius. Although, I've been reading that it might not actually apply blind to spells in the wand (need to verify this). If not, blind support could be the 3rd gem. Either way, this can give us a permanent aoe blind.

I've switched from the basic build to ff3's tanky build and from stone golem to AG. I'm not using Aspect of the spider like he did, or dread banner, cause I have to use purity of elements to cap my resists right now. I'm at 8939HP, but some of my jewels only have +30HP. I fought Shaper and couldn't feel like I lost significant damage, but even though I have more HP, I feel like I take more damage, maybe because I don't run Phase Acro anymore :-? Compared to ff3, I'm also 4 levels lower, so I gave up the 4 damage nodes on the right of Elemental Equilibrium for HP nodes.

Some questions:

1. Against uber elder, will he obliterate my AG? Should I switch back to stone golem to avoid losing AG items?

2. How important is it to actually use that Dread Banner thingy? Am I gimping the build hard by using purity of elements? I'd lose some implicit HP by switching rings / amulet for more resists... if i manage to cap resists without purity, what should I use in its place?

3. Can someone take a look at what I got right now and tell me some things I could improve? :D I feel like I'm missing something but can't tell what.

Running this build as CI / ES gear below.
I spec'd out of it for a cold DoT arctic breath so i sold lots of better gear. This is just basic i guess. And i've done uber atziri and shaper on a 5L. I still think the life version is better :)

According to poedb, at level 68: Rewritten Synthete does 1902.6 damage.

Now I'm not sure what the damage scaling is, but comparing the the damage for level 68 vs 78, its attacks do 67-75% more damage.

So lets say your level 79 Rewritten has a base damage of 3233 (70% more).

So, for example, its leapslam attack deals 200% of damage. So now we're at 6466 physical damage.

Your Rewritten has 29% increased damage. 8342 physical damage.

Your Rewritten deals 103% extra as fire, 108% extra as cold. So it deals 8342 physical, 8592 fire, 9009 cold.

There is shocking ground (take 20% more damage). So its leap slam does: 10,010 physical 10,310 fire, 10,811 cold.

Of course you and your AG/minions should be res capped: so you/AG/minions take 10,010 physical, 2577 fire, 2702 cold from the leapslam alone.


*my calculations might be off because of the order of damage calculation.

How much es do you have with all that gear?

I've also tried an ES-based version (but was hybrid rather than CI). ES recharge delay was the biggest factor in survivability. Uber Elder was particularly hard until I got this watchers and some faster start crafts:
