Medium 4 or Medium 5 with Precise Commander gives 50% crit chance and 15% crit multi. It's less multi than Vicious, though. But you can try to get Precise/Vengeful. The boost to Hatred aura will give similar overall DPS actually.

Some summoners like to give Garb to AG. It will stop crits from nearby monsters.


Don't use Ele Focus, it stops the freeze and shatter. It's really important to have freezee and shatter in simulacrum!

I recommend RS because ranged is always safer.

RK is more like playing a melee character. It's more fun and exciting and dangerous :) For me, I like them because I have played necro for a long time.

RK damage feels better because they have fast attack speed and they hit immediately. RS feels less because of slow attack speed and project must fly to target. If the boss moves, then the projectile will miss!

You can use two different body armour. Raise Spectre must be in the same socket!

If you don't have white socket for RS: Just use 3b1r2g. Raise Spectre, Minion Damage, Deathmark, Ele hit, Vicious Proj, LMP. You can kill map bosses easily with this. When you fight endgame bosses like Sirus, swap LMP -> Hypo.

Vicious Proj -> Pierce is good for mapping, but you don't need it.

White socket is for minmax.

I have tried Arena Master in Kay's build with both Redemption Sentries and Redemption Knights. The QoL is great (vroom vroom) but overall my impression is that it is a DPS loss on bosses. Since the build is already decent at clearing the Arena Masters are just a bit out of place since their personal damage is underwhelming and with only one of them they don't keep their amp up constantly. Thanks! I just took golem commander and trying carrion + stone golem how they rise up dps with "effect of buffs granted by your golems", 20 quality gems allready give 40% inc minion dmg.
Have you tried buffs with any double golems?

I did notice as well that elemental focus gets rid of freeze. Which gem would be best insted of elemental focus?

Can maybe someone help me to get Redemption Sentry in SSF Delirium? @Arianathewitch

Seems spectre + spiders is not viable in EB & MOM right? because we have to use different helmet?

1st thank you Kay great guide am wanting to make this starter summoner.

Question is not just for Kay but for the community in general

Like with every starter build is that the leveling life is good but as we are getting closer to the end game, What should we be doing for progression... farming currency to buy the gear if so as a new player what is there to farm or low level mapping farm?. Are there specific locations to farm the gear to craft. To my understanding that its white item we need with stuff from delve to craft.

I am trying to get the proper sense of progression to reach the end game .

As a new player i am trying to get gear from drops with life and res. Whats the next thing i should be doing ?

After looking at the POE Trader like the cheapest convoking wand is 30 chaos i know people will say that is cheap but for a new player 100% noob how do i get the currency rolling in . Because after looking at every build out there starter or not CURRENCY is what brings it out :)

So peeping for the transaction to crit but before that I'll try kill Uber elder so what best setup to use on them remove pierce for hypothermia ?

Is anyone using Slave drivers anymore?

I really like them but am I missing out by not switching to RK or RS?

Also does anyone else find Disciple of kitava keystone anoying when raising spectres? It's consuming corpses before I can raise them.
