Hi, love this build.
just 1 quickly question: what is the best enchant in the helm? Atm i got this but i think another enchant to boost ball lightning would be better.

A few things I have noticed in trying out this build...

1. Shaper gloves with Faster Attacks support AND mana+life+res are expensive and hard to come by, whereas "normal" gloves with ias+res+life+mana are much easier to come by and help balance resistances, so I went that route.

2. Berek's ring is pricey, I haven't tested the essence worm + wrath version of the build, but if that became the main version I would be quite happy because it's a lot easier to get essence worm early in the league (I plan on making this my league starter every league, way too fun of a build!)

3. The frenzy+CoH set up is great but using CoH+Shock Nova+CWDT+Conductivity is great for putting Lightning Penetration on your build and dropping Mastermind of Discord for Paragon of Calamity and gaining ele-reflect immunity and a steadier life leech. I would love to see that as the default version of the build because survivability & free choice of maps seem much more beneficial as our DPS (AoE and single target) are both incredible (especially with 20% quality on all your gems, which is easily attainable in Incursion with gem rooms).

4. Relating to point 3, with this setup it's harder to generate frenzy charges, and even with a 6L Inpulsa with 20% quality to all gems + culling strike for added attack speed, AND gems with either triple attack speed (while dual wielding, with wands, and general) I still only hit 0.28APS in my barrage setup, so ideally I would like to find a way to generate frenzy charges to hit 0.25 more easily and focus my jewel investments on life, mana, and crit multi. I even used blood rage at one point. I haven't tried the Intuitive Leap jewel example, but maybe making that a staple would be beneficial in creating this alternate form of the build. It seems more lean, you still generate power charges on bosses with orb of storms, and it'll result in easier gearing for most players.

5. Flame dash is still questionable during boss fights, like a few others I still prefer using a Surgeon's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline, but my concern is this.... Lose a flask slot for something like Atziris, Vinktars, or Wise Oak and gain 2 gem slots for more DPS? Or keep Flame Dash and lose the quicksilver for one of the aforementioned unique flasks.

6. When looking at Inpulsa stats, I prioritized life and effect of shock. I believe since we are melting through all map content anyway, that we should make an indication for newer players to prioritize THOSE stats rather than the others, because lets face it, a near-perfect 5L Inpulsa is stupid expensive (I lucked out with my 6L, but I don't anticipate that'll happen each league)

7. 5k life and 2k mana is a minimum must, I feel like mentioning that in the build will keep a lot of people from commenting on how "squishy" the build is. Before I invested in reaching those numbers, I died all the time, which is a huge pain in the ass when leveling past lvl90, but as soon as I reached them I now only die to my cats distracting me. Mentioning this will help newer players also prioritize their gear searching for more survivability than dps, because again, we already facemelt everything we touch.

8. I played around with different pen corruptions, and still went back to spell damage implicit. Maybe mention in the guide that this has been tested and not to waste your currency paying stupid amounts for crit wands, because your spell damage wands are still better (I felt dumb for making this mistake but this build has so much potential and testing it was a blast).


I don't post much, but this build has been amazing and I can't wait to follow along with its development. I've almost completed my atlas (for the first time ever) and every map/boss fight is a blast. Thanks again OP for creating this build, i look forward to hearing what all of you think of these points.

Well done. I agree with all your points and came to the same conclusions as well.

1. Agreed. I never went that route and eventually dropped the Frenzy setup.

2. I'm testing the wrath/essence ring right now and am liking it so far. I may change some jewels around to get more life but so far it's been solid.

3. Yep. Depending on whether I'm bossing or leveling through maps I may change from Conductivity to Enfeeble from time to time. It's nice to have the option. I'd probably try Temp Chains as well but it's green and won't swap without chroming it. Temp Chains would increase the shock duration though which could be really nice.

4. the Intuitive Leap setup is great. Once I tried it I never went back.

5. For some bosses I still use Flame Dash only because they're quicker and I'm not able to switch Pen's fast enough to LW out of the way. I usually run a Lightning Golem in that slot and then only switch to FD when it's needed for that specific boss.

6. Yep.

7. Agreed. Life at 5k and mana at 2-2.1 seems to be the sweet spot.

8. I did the same thing. I much preferred the spell damage and speed to the other corruptions and I tried a lot of them.

BTW Here is what I am running now as of my latest post, and this is insanely smooth and amazing. Just did an 8 mod Hydra map with added fragments and the whole 9 yards deathless.



Added in intuitive leap, I'm just shy of the 7kEHP sweet spot but that's attainable.

EDIT: Thinking of replacing wise oak with vinktars since conductivity is giving 40% light pen

Oh interesting, you drop beric's for essence/wrath. You still use herald of thunder though....doesn't that reserve too much mana?

I think that's the right choice. Arc chaining an additional time adds 15% damage to a single target (plz correct me if I'm wrong). I've used increased damage of both Arc 40% and BL 40% and prefer the BL enchant so far. I haven't used the Arc chaining an additional time though. It may be better for clearing but I don't think that's where this build struggles. If anything, the additional boss damage is where this build could use the additional damage.
Isn't that why he recommends the slower ball lightning enchant? since it gives you more hits with each ball lightning cast. Not to say the Arc chain is bad or anything.

I don't think that's a current enchant for this league. You can still find them in Standard probably.

so what's the verdict with conductivity and and essence worm/wrath? is it the right move?

I was messing with POB and ball lightning damage is slightly lower with that setup...but what about survivability?
