Finish your Uber Lab! You're missing -25% lightning resist, which is huge for bosses.

Hey, so I"m pretty much geared exactly the same, but I'm struggling with Shaper. I've tried twice and run out of portals with | | shaper life left. I feel like i'm following the guide almost exactly, maybe a couple variations that were mentioned. But I feel like I just don't have the same DPS. Here's the POB link, and items linked below.

Any ideas?

Your APS for barrage with 3 Frenzy charges is 3.19 - that's low. You'll want to bring that up to sustain LGoH to keep your life up in the boss fights.

Also, you're missing quality on most of your gems. Putting 20% quality on your BL alone with give you 20% more lightning damage for BL. Adding 20% quality on GMP and Faster Attacks will increase your APS. Then, if the Barrage APS is still too low, you can change accuracy for culling strike with quality to get more APS.

What do you guys do for leech against Shaper? As I understand it (never done Shaper before) he has immunity to shock. No shock and there is no leech from Berek's.

Edit: and no mana from Mind of the Council either!

Started to play this build few days ago, and it's just AMAZING))) thanks big time to the creator of this build)

This is what i've managed to get before my currency has vanished:



With this setup, i've managed to facetank Minotaur, with just one stupid death.

Clearspeed is beyond crazy, t16 with extra life packs are getting melted by single click.
Single target DPS is pretty respectable as well, but i guess for Shaper\Uber Elder i'll need more(going to try Shaper tonight)

What would you suggest to change first, in order to progress further?

Small update:

Killed Shaper with the gear mentioned above, it was very smooth and deathless.

Next goal to try Uber elder

Barrage with LGoH sustains life. We hardly use any mana so that's usually not a problem but if you're concerned then take a hybrid or mana flask for the fight for when MoM goes off. Shaper was fairly easy with this build IMO.

Shaper is all about learning the fight. I did it deathless last week and had no problems with sustaining mana or life. Just need decent DPS and mainly to kill the adds that spawn from his portal so they don't hit Zana. Also important to place the puddles at the edges so they don't interfere. Last league i used to die once or twice by the Shaper's slam but managed to avoid that now as well. If I can do it deathless then this build is easy for shaper as I'm not a shaper farmer.

Here's a practice video i made one or 2 leagues ago with Volatile Dead. Was still a bit messy but will give you an idea about the puddles and when to move etc:

I did only 3 Shaper runs so far in my life

2 in Previous league, one in this league

First run was failed, second one successful, but not deathless. And the last one (yesterday) with this build, was deathless, even tho my build is not optimized yet

Generically speaking, to fight Shaper with this build, you just need to do few things:

1. Evade Slam
2. I didn't try to facetank it, so you better stay in range
3. Wait for Beam. Once you see yellow lightning around his hands and crackling sound go next to him, and put all DPS you have. This is the best moment to DPS Shaper, you have 3-4 seconds, when Shaper is completely harmless, you don't need to move, or evade something(unless it's phase 3 with clone)
Usually, after 1, maximum 2 beams, You're getting to the new phase
Culling strike is also very useful for phase 3

Portal skill of shaper is actually a blessing, you can get your flasks back if needed

I'm running with mana flask instead of Stabnite, and i think it might be really useful for sticky situation, so you better get one with instant recovery

Thank you for checking it out. In POB, looking at 21/20 ball lightning doesn't add a ton of damage, but it might just not be as obvious. I added quality to GMP/FA, now i'm at 3.32 APS with barrage, no frenzy charges (I don't really use frenzy in boss fights, seems too hard to sustain charges).

If i take out additional accuracy, my hit chance drops to 59%, is that too low for effectiveness? A quality culling strike though gets my APS up to 3.5. I might need to find some jewels with attack speed on them...

EDIT: i realized i haven't put quality on any of my poet pen support gems. Going to do that tonight and see how it goes. I'll report back.
