I started legion with this build and have had a blast since cruel lab. Currently at t3/4 maps. Got a 5 link staff while leveling, but havent been able to get a 5/6 link body armor yet. I could buy one but the one I have now has a ton of life on it. Havent had good luck with getting 6 sockets, spent over 140 jewelers.

Would it be worth it to give up my 5L staff for necro aegis and vicartos?
Should I keep trying to 6S/L this chest piece or move on?

Current Gear:
Spoiler

EDIT: just got an exalt so i guess im getting vicartos and a 6L

It should stack with any sources of increased physical damage taken, and since it's a multiplier, it should calculate like that:

Ex:
Increased p.d.t.= 50%
More p.d.t. = 40% (pirde level 21)

1.5*1.4= 2.1 (210% increased p.d.t.)

So, if my guess is right, it's a huge boost to our damage, as there are other source of incresed phy. taken, like banners, maim support (we can link maim to SRS and use it on bosses) and helmets mod (fossil).
Ty! @ Cakedayz; Buy a normal 6 sox 5link bodyarmor (armor/es!!)! Its damn cheap! Role it and enjoy! Dont use Melee splash, since with 3.7 zombies and skels do this.

Hi, I'm currently using this build in Legion SSF, was wondering what alternatives there are for Victario's Charity. What stats should I look out for on a shield for necromantic aegis? Thanks.

I'ma noob (just got into it last season), but I don't think you need Necromantic Aegis unless you have Victario's Shield.

Last season I did okay without it - hit 87 without hitting a hard wall - season just ran out before I could get further.

🤞 I hope I find one this season!

N00b extraordinaire.
Having tested to lvl 74 with and without melee splash, I would say you absolutely need it still. The very tiny "aoe" introduced in the melee patch is no where near enough to take down large mobs.
How do you address the issue of on a base level not having enough dex for the scourge. Im finding im at 73 dex and no more dex points per the passive tree, and with the green mods I cant risk dropping any lower on my dex. But with the gear recommended as rares etc. Nothing there talks about getting more Dex to be able to even equip The Scourge.

PLease help,

on a other note I LOVE THIS BUILD OMG

Just put dex on your gear
if you want to get a good weapon this league pretty easy, the legion mobs that sometimes drop some temple affixes are really good. I got a prefix for 90-95 minion damage and then crafted minion attack/cast speed on it (get from unveiling it). I did a quick search and there also seems to be a ton of weapons on the market for 15c and under for such a good damage boost.

If you dont have a Vicartos yet and are willing to go 2 hander, there are a lot more staves with 135 minion damage that are much much cheaper, like an alch or a chaos.
