[3.9] Pure Phys Skeletons & Friends Necromancer — Beginner/SSF/Budget Build

I have around 14 ex to upgrade my build at the moment.
I know I have some really trash gear, But unsure of what to purchase.
Any tips or ideas?
Any help would be appreciated!

Maybe write the options separately from the main recommendations. Newcomers to the game or to the build wand to follow a simple route initially and then in endgame worry about optimisation.
So starting the guide with what's the preferred route, and in subsections in the second half writing the options would be better for them.
And for the preferred route it's nice to build it step by step: basic build with Impale, MoM, 1 wand + whatever, both offerings, no auras.. Then when they have the resists and budget start to add some gem optimisations, auras, essence worm, the +1 skelly/minion mvt speed crafts, AG... and then all the various alternatives.

Oh, and the leveling part of this build isn't that great I think.
This guide did it much better, greater detail for newbies, smoother gem transitions... Maybe just adapt his passive routes to ours so that ppl don't have to respec a bit.

Yep, that's what I'm leaning towards now after a bit of thought on it. A solid start then a list of options once you're looking to Min/Max.

The leveling part is definitely something I wanted to work on as it could use some updating. Same with some explanations of mechanics such as how to set up your PoB depending on the spectres you're using, so on so forth and why we enable those...

Also a link to the LocalIdentity fork so people can see Impale DPS. There's a lot of updating to do. I'll be working on the outline over the next few days and probably posting my progress so people can provide some input (though I might not take ALL of it, I will at least listen lol)
Yeah actually, that's a good point, the guide didn't really cover leveling very well. A skill gem progression and itemization for leveling will help newbies a lot. I started playing PoE this very league so I struggled a little bit finding a good guide that featured skill, item and tree progression while leveling.

As for the title, there are so many options and microbuilds whitin this build I would call this the:

"The Begginer friendly SKELETON NECROMANCER COMPENDIUM"

Or something.

Since I broke the million dps per skeletons and there is no point going higher I tested other options to boost Def and QoL.

I tested haste + watcher eye "phasing while affected by haste" and also bought the 250c weapon for AG

Pride is not useful anymore once you get 800k+
You can achieve 1m dps without +2 wand. Buy awakened gem instead with the exalt saved buying +1.

AG, even in it's lower form (15c max, see in necro forum the "king of summoner" guide there is an AG part) is a no brainer instead of the red gem in zombi link.

Phasing is nice QoL but I also tested haste because of life/es/mana noose from watcher eye.

I die sometimes to random Metamorph because of chaos res being low and slacking but if I move I don't die.

Just killed again Sirus8 without him doing a labyrinth, just one big Diiiie ray and my life didn't move (but I admit the fight is too easy now).
I put a 68% chaos res ring in place of haste and a belt with life and chaos res. Got 65%.

Next step could be getting level by adding chaos res to not have random death or farming blighted map to buy headhunter but I don't know if I will have the time this season :)

I like the changes!!! But... I feel squish, HP in 6K and i desalocade Mind over Matter... Any idea to do the defensive area good??

Other thing, the flasks, i don't need more mana flask (i don't use Mind...) what flask i can change?!!

DPS: 1,5M
Hey guys, I followed this build pretty closely until I got my hands on a GG build 2h, probably not the best bang for buck, but it seemed to be quite a lucrative grab. Still new to tweaking builds, looking for ways to help boost damage and survivability

Pastebin here: https://pastebin.com/0fbr573a

5.9k life
Elemental resists at 75%
Chaos resist at 63%

Single target skeleton damage is 870k, 12 skele limit.

DPS seems fine, but I like pushing higher. Getting a 21 summon skeleton and a lvl 4 empower gem would boost each skele DPS to 1mil (about 6ex each), these are costly upgrades, but I dont sacrifice any survival for those upgrades..

I'm one level away from another socket. Dropping in another To dust will boost my DPS by 46k per (4.9% damage increase) or I could go for another jewel to boost my survival somehow. After that I plan on going for all the +% max life nodes I can, up to whatever level I can grind to. Each 5% node gives just over 100 life each.

Any tips for boosting life without sacrificing too much dps?

All my gear

Get better helmet with open prefix to craft +1 skeles. You can get better life and res gloves, belt, boots(with ms), ring(topaz), and switching to better amulet. Getting into ~50+ chaos res should be your goal. 21 vaal skeles > than 20/20 one and it's like ~20c. Getting stygian vise and jewel with both taunt and blind mods socketed into it, enables you to use another to dust. Also annointing either "Grave intentions" or "Indomitable army" will give your minions dps/survivability. Also getting lvl 21 raise spectre gem, youll be able to summon 4th one(if you already cant do that).

Just a little background on me. This is my first season ever in POE and I am completely obsessed. I actually play on Xbox because I was able to get about 5 other friends to all join in with me. I helped kickstart the Animate Guardian discussion and I want to do the same thing for something that hasn't really been tackled much by the group... Spectres.

Everyone seems to mostly assume that 2 Carnage Chieftains and 2 Host Chieftains are the best option since that was originally recommended. How many people have actually did any testing? I know Spectre's are a lot more complicated and people may be avoiding testing them because you can't just plug in changes in POB. I will do some testing over the next couple days. But one thing I saw in an early post that caught my eye was the splash damage on Slave Drivers. It may be worth just running 4 of them and dropping the Melee Splash Gem for good form all builds. If anyone else has any insight on Spectres or want's to do any testing feel free to chime in.
Well, so far so good. I just did AL8 Sirus and was able to basically instaphase him. I'll take that. Here's my current gear. I think my next steps are to get a +2 wand. Currently, POB is showing ~1.2m shaper dps per skeleton. I'm currently running dread banner + pride + skitterbots for shock.

IN another train fo thought I saw some people dropping Flesh Offering, to me in my PoB shows quite a decent chunk of dmg provided by it, plus the movement speed I dont feel comfortable dropping it, but I have been thinking of dropping CWDT, getting Vuln on hit gloves for the AG and just leveling spirit offering like normal and using it manually with flesh offering, i think this is better overall, but idk what others think.

I did drop flesh offering and i'm not missing it at all and i tried the no cwdt spirit offering route (casting manually with high level gem) and i went back to cwdt not long after because cwdt will insta put the ES that you might need at the right moment and casting it manually isnt as near as reactive ( i had a few death with manual cast es)
