The rest of my gear is under <10c each. Comfortably farming fully juiced up T16 maps on awakener level 8. The only noteworthy cost was the amulet enchant which cost me 50c.

I mentioned this in another post, but it's my preference to run Impale on the skellies. To see the DPS it truly adds you need the LocalIdentity fork of Path of Building, but it does add a lot.

I swapped out Feeding Frenzy on them for Impale and run Dread Banner as well to buff it further. Also you should be swapping Melee Splash out for Multistrike on bosses if you don't want to go the Impale route. It will help a lot if you weren't doing that already.



Do you leave dread banner alone or do you activate it?

- Life on Gloves (ZERO, Currently!)

- +1 Minion Gems on Convoking Wands

Even though you've annointed your amulet already I would look for one with straight Life and as much res as you can get (plus crafted minion speed). That coupled with some resistances on your Armour will leave you much less reliant on res on your rings so you can find some cheap Vermillion rings with just a high Life roll - as Vermillion rings with a high life roll AND resistances are stupid expensive.

It's a bit far away but getting two convoking wands with +1 minion gems (and a Level 21 Summon Spectre gem) will allow you to summon 4 spectres. This will let you maintain both Frenzy and Power charges and is a considerable boost to skeleton DPS.
Can someone explain to me im kinda new

So when i get 2x Carnage Chieftains i dont use Raise Spectre no more? which mean i dont press the skills anymore?

Unless they die - that's correct. They will attack by themselves and generate Frenzy charges for yourself and your minions.


Though assuming you have the Death Attunement notable - you can summon 3 spectres.

I can't really speak to the most economical way to get it but it's a prefix with a ~0.5% chance of rolling on a Convoking Wand (iLvl 60 minimum). Alt Spam, Chaos Spam, or just flat out buy one with that affix on it.

Medium Tier you can alt-regal and then multimod something like this:


Less expensive you can just roll for the +1 mod and then craft Minion Damage:




21/20 Skellies are definitely ideal but the 20% quality doesn't add that much damage, comparably. I would grab a 21/0 when you can and focus on a 21/20 once you've run out of other 'low hanging fruit' upgrades!
I found that using Multistrike adds a lot more DPS than with Ruthless or Melee Splash. Does anyone know why OP doesn't recommend Multistrike?

Melee splash is mostly for map clearing which it does well. I use Multistrike for bossing. I know the Multistrike doesn't support the Vaal Summon Skellies but at this point I can't remember the last time I actually used the Vaal Skellies so that doesn't much impact me.

I'd say it's a matter of preference. Melee splash clears really well for me, but I love the DPS multistrike gives on bosses and metas so I just swap when needed.
Few questions:

1. Is an amulet with +1 to all int gems better than +1 skellie?

2. If I were to drop a wand for a shield to be more tanky in some encounters (the damage is more than enough) which shield would you guys recommend?

3. Would an Empower level 4 gem be a dps boost in the place of one of the red gems? In the place of brutality for example, wouldn't that make our mage skellies do damage as well when we use vaal summon skellies without losing the damage on the normal skellies?
