Would you recommend Multistrike over Ruthless for single target dmg? And thanks for your thourough comment!
Multistrike, it is almost 10% more damage. And both skills suffer from same "penalty", require multiple hits to deliver bonus damage, which means none has advantage over each other mechanically. Just raw average dps over 3 hits is relevant and multistrike wins.
As for other awakened gems lets sum this up (current prices):
- awakened melee physical - biggest dps upgrade (~13% including intimadate) - 11,5ex
- awakened multistrike - +8% vs normal multistrike, ridiculous price and rarity 60ex
- awakened minion damage - +<3% for 5,2ex, same as aweken melee phys without intimidate
- awakened brutality +3% for 5ex
- awakened melee splash 80c - single target stays same, area damage very small upgrade, but it gains 10% inc aoe and ~15% more splash area, which is quite nice for this price
Another thing worth mentioning. These gems take longer to level than empower.. so count that in. At level 1 most of them are not an upgrade at all. If you don't play a lot it will take forever to get them to level 5.

Not sure, maybe because regular version of pob shows it as less dps, and it simply doesn't show up as correct damage value? Maybe author had other reasons. I didn't follow this build to letter.
Speaking of tweaks to the build. Tried this thing for clear:
I have mixed feelings about this. Damage loss from wands is no issue, since we deal more than enough damage. What this gives us is massive skeleton duration and all minion speed +100%.
Now skeletons seem to be affected less than other minions because they perform their dash attack. So it feels like this movement speed mainly helps zombies, which isn't useful. And even if skeletons are faster, if they run out of targets to aggro they wont follow to next screen = we still need to cast them.
Duration can be nice for AFK blighted maps, vaal skeletons stay alive for 1,5min. Other than that, not much use.

Can you guys check out my gear and tell me how good/bad my gear is and see what my next 3 big upgrades should be? Right now I did all maps from T1-3 with ease.

That sword is useless for minion build, it doesn't give anything to the minions. That's the first thing to replace. Get a minion wand or at least some cheap substitute with +1 to all spell gems.
Also - I've noticed that you don't have a Spectre gem.
2x Carnage Chieftains (frenzy charges generator for your minions) + 1 Host Chieftain (power charges generator for your minions) give min. ~30-40% MORE damage. So that's a must for this build.
Also you're not using Desecrate to generate corpses before cwdt triggers spirit offering. Get rid of Enfeeble, get Desecrate.
Thanks for the feedback. I totally forgot I had that crappy weapon even though I linked it. The guide said to link up spirit offering, enfeeble and cwdt. It's better to replace enfeeble with desecrate? What lvl desecrate should I insert?

So does anyone have a PoB for the impale variant of this build, and can anyone tell me the pros/cons of it vs the regular? I've been trying to sift through comments to get an idea of what's what but not having much luck.
