ALL HAIL PRESIDENT TRUMP
" Agreed. Trump has mostly delivered a bunch of stuff he promised he wouldn't do. The attack on Syria was 100% bullshit. I don't agree with it at all. He's proven to be just another Republican war hawk. The people who voted for Trump didn't vote for attacking Syria. Trump is the one who said that Obama should get Congressional approval before attacking another country. But he gets elected, does it, and doesn't seek congressional approval. Hypocrite much? " Reagan, Clinton, Madison, Jefferson - lots of presidents have deployed forces for immediate action without prior authorization from Congress. It isn't the same thing as waging war. It has been an understood prerogative of the president since 1801, when the Barbary pirates needed to be dealt with a firm hand. Responding to foreign powers with a single voice was one of the reasons for having a president in the first place. The founding fathers specifically didn't want a wishy-washy response from 100+ people bickering over what to do. There is a law specifically limiting the president's response: "The War Powers Resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30-day withdrawal period, without a Congressional authorization for use of military force (AUMF) or a declaration of war by the United States" Trump hasn't violated that. So far, the left has utterly failed to move the DACA yardstick, despite Trump prompting them to. "There is no risk of a severe escalation of war with Russia. The financial punishments metered out by Congress to Russia were far more irritating and likely to provoke action than a brief barrage of missiles on non Russian territory. The USA and Russia have been testing boundaries with each other for over 70 years. The incident in Syria doesn't even show up as a blip on the scale of things likely to cause war. People freaked out last year for the same silly reasons. There is little point in explaining how the system works, because most people don't care about the mechanics, they just care if the results go the way they want. Trump is no more going to instigate WW3 than your hideout decorations will increase your POE DPS. A demoralizing fact: Trump is the warhawk in this story and Pentagon generals are the moderate ones.
Trump Bowed to Pentagon Restraint on Syria Strikes Hanging out with globalist vampires like John Bolton is a sure path to 1-term presidency or less. When night falls

" Unless it's someone you don't like. Then it is a fair game. Pointless to complain about smear slinging when both teams play foul. |

So I guess Trump attacking Syria, and humiliating Russia & Putin proves there was no collusion. Cause at this point you gotta figure Putin would unload evidence on Trump, if there was any.

The most amusing part about all of this is that all of the emotionally handicapped people screaming, "The sky is falling!" have no clue what the airstrikes were really intended for.
Hell, even a simple Google search reveals a good part of the truth, but people are too busy with reacting on a pure emotional whim. Still in the alpha stage, but at least build diversity isn't an issue: https://wolcengame.com/home/ Last edited by JNF on Apr 16, 2018, 6:15:00 PM

" As expected, Trump listened to his experts. That's what good executives do. Plenty of previous presidents have wanted to push harder, but listened to the generals who said to hold back. It is probably a good thing most people never find out what truly happens behind the scenes. Sometimes the key to avoiding war is being prepared for one. Ask yourself how many times the United States has deployed nuclear weapons against China and Russia and been ready to give the "Go" signal. Then ask yourself if you really want to know, or would prefer to go on thinking the number was zero. PoE Origins - Piety's story http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2081910

One sword keeps another in the sheath.
The more frightening question is to ask oneself how often China and Russia have deployed nukes into position for deployment against the U.S. and were simply waiting on the word 'Go'. People get lit over North Korea developing nuclear capability, all while somehow forgetting two very large hostile nations who already have that capability, as well as much greater delivery potential and the capability to actually follow up a nuclear first strike, sitting right over there basically waiting for an excuse. "Saber Rattler" Kim isn't the world leader y'all ought to be watching. I'd even argue that Putin isn't the one you should be watching the hardest. Keep an eye on China. They've got a bone to pick, an agenda to push, a chip on their shoulder and literally a billion slaves to use as they see fit to get those bones picked agendas shoved. |
