[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

A few questions about TV/wicker

* How are they compared to 3.1, still just as good at boss killing?

* Is it worth running aegis node w/ fortress shield if you go TV?

* Are there better boss killing options for this build besides TV if they aren't as good as 3.1

Obviously I plan on going solar guards for mapping, but have been told TV/Wicker is dead on 3.2 for bossing. Wanted more opinions on this as i hit end game and start bossing on my necro.

TV are just as good for boss killing. Especially with +1 curse on hit flammability/elemental weakness combo and Elemental Equilibrium. Also you're not summoning the totems and good for kiting.

Aegis node are really only helpful for mapping. Fortress shield is pretty much dead and going for more life and block is better.

I would use 3 flame golem/ 4 tv combo.

Do you drop AG in order to do the flame golem part of this build? I can't see your character to view the rest of your links.

Hey, how does burning damage work if elemental focus says that spectres cannot inflict elemental ailments? (first time trying spectres and your build has had helped me a lot, im having tons of fun with it) ^^!
This looks awesome, but I think many new and maybe some rutined players, would love if you updates this as much as possible to 3.2

Burning is not an ailment, the totems cause burn in a similar way to RF. Ignite is an ailment that does damage through burning but being ignited is not the only source of burning.
I'm curious if anyone has went full defensive with the AG (max resists, advanced fortress in main hand, linked with max level empower and minion life) and had their AG consistently survive on uber Atziri or Shaper. From reading through this thread the general consensus is that the AG doesn't survive the end game encounters. I'm wondering if it is even worth it to have an AG if that is so, considering a recent poster mentioned the Dyadus debuff doesn't work with solar guards. I see no reason to build an AG for general maps as your best clear speed spectre is SG's. The only time I plan on using TV's is for end game bosses for the single target and if the AG dies on those encounters then what is the point and is there a better alternative?

I use this 7 slot item -




3 flame golems, 4 spectres, 8 zombies and 1 AG for mapping (minus AG for boss killing).

Zombies are just meat shields and flame golems are more easy to summon especially when they use and have echo support. I just need to figure out how to incorporate empower support lol.

So i'm assuming that means you run a 3link for your bone offering/flesh offering with no convocation? or can you post all your links

Currently, but I will need a bit more work with buying a few more things and linking my other vis mortis for a 6link. Once that's done and up to 36 challenges, I'll try uber elder. lol



Edit. ahh woops yeah my bone offering and flesh offering is in my mf build
