We move on. We don't gripe and complain about it in every post. Finally, YOU have predicted the sky is falling before, IN THIS THREAD, and not only were you proved wrong, but you came back and played the very build you predicted doom for again the next league. " Thank you! I actually forgot that jewel existed. I think for HC the advancing fortress based build is better, but for SC reckless defence sounds just perfect to me - 4 of them plus Solidity / Sanctuary and I won't even need shaped amulet and shield, and can still use Scourge. Even an Anvil could be considered in that case. It does mess with plans about anima stone + 3 primals though, but I guess if someone insists on that, they'll have to use other means to max block. |

" Played a variation of this build in Abyss HC, farmed shaper/guardians with it. Ran Ahn's Heritage so my max block was only 65% and I never felt squishy at all, actually one of the most tanky chars I've had. Planning on playing the same exact version, so I will basically lose 150-200 life on block and maybe 5-7% on my block. This guy is just trying to get people off of the build he plays so items get a little cheaper. |

" You're not making an argument against what I've just said, so not sure why you're replying? I never said you're supposed to do anything, you do whatever you want. Of course I skip 8 mod maps with 40% reduced block mod(75%->45%) as a rule of thumb, because I'd prefer not to die. MoM alone is just an EHP boost, our primary and only defense was BO. If it's reduced to blocking 2 out of 4 hits instead of 3 out of 4, I will eventually take consecutive hits and die. That's not good enough in HC. If I die once in 100 8 mod maps, that's already too many, surely you understand. There's absolutely nothing wrong with SC, but any decent build should be able to alch vaal go, maybe you'll die more often if your build is weaker and/or you're not as good, but it's SC so who cares. Only HC really matters and that's my PoV. Your only argument here is that 'so what, you might die a little bit more often from now on', because you come with an SC mindset, and that's not valid. So to sum it up, my point still stands; I lost ~17% block 26% spellblock, on my primary and only reliable defense - do you understand how much investment you need to make in gear and/or passives to get back to where you were before? It's enormous, and further weakens your dmg/survivability, while other classes got crazy buffs. And no, Rumi's is not a viable replacement, the uptime is not reliable especially on boss fights where you need it to be reliable the most. So just admit and acknowledge that the nerf is SEVERE, stop trying to play it off as something you can easily offset. And on a sidenote: if you don't play there, how would you know the market sucks? I play HC exclusively every league since beta so far, I trade 24/7 because I enjoy it, market seems fine to me. |
