Thanks! I've never done them before and I have some delay in game, so kind of nervous for my first try (since it's so expensive to fail).
Your gear looks decent. I'd suggest grabbing a Rumi's flask to max out your block, watch some youtube vids on the fights to learn the mechanics, and go for it.

Shaper is really about learning the fight. Uber Atziri is the same, but pile on the fire resist. That shield I mentioned plus a fire flask will boost your fire resist from 76 to 87. That makes a huge difference.

Does anyone mind taking a quick look at my gear? (EternalLuv is the character). I have a 2SG/2TV right now on two 5-links (haven't got the currency for 6-link yet), but I'm unable to complete abysses in T9+. I run out of time and never get the trove. Not sure where my damage is lacking... is it really just the 6L?

Well, first up, your boot enchant is sabotaging your minions damage output by triggering Elemental Equilibrium with fire and boosting the monsters fire resistance. Grab another set of those right now.

Other stuff...

- Swap Controlled Destruction for Minion Damage. CD is 44% more, MD is 49%. Free 5% boost.
- Your second raise spectre gem is only level 14. That's seriously limiting the damage output you can get from those spectres, they will only be level 70 max. That's 6 levels under the map level if you are running T9.
- Actually, all your gems in your chest are still pretty low level. Those will improve a lot as you level them up.
- I'd switch to a damage boost curse instead of the defensive enfeeble. Elemental Weakness.
- Lastly, I'd try to find jewels with life / mana / minion percentage increased damage. Those will work with both SGs and TVs.

And no, you're absolutely right, it's not the lack of the 6th link. Lots of us have done Shaper on a 5L Vis Mortis.

Hi, i was wondering 3 things exploring this build :
- whats all the fuzz around SGs ? Were flame sentinels nerfed recently or ?
- are flame sentinels compatible with burning damage ?
- the only real advantage of this build (besides a switch to TV's for bosses) compared to pretty much all other summoner builds is the block chance and how tanky you can get, making it really smooth to play. BUT everyone here tends to go for scourge and sidhebreath reducing drasticly the block chance. So ... does a rumi + shaper shield enough to rise this back up to 70/70 ?
Hey there. Just want to say thank you for creating such an amazing build.
It was my very first "minion" build and truth to be told it's now one of my favorite builds of em all!

Clear speed is really smooth and nice when you work around some gems and raise Solar Guards instead of Tukohama's. And whenever I need to do some serious boss action like Shaper or Uber I usually just go for Tukohama's and destroy everything without any problems. (never really tried solar guards on shaper or uber, dno how they will perform).

The only 2 things I've changed from the actual build is that I swapped to Scourge Claw and crafted my own Bone Helmet with +3 to minion gems, that's pretty much it.
The build itself is REALLY solid and yeah, thanks again for sharing!
Ok, so instead of going with 4x TVs and FG. I am testing the 2x SG and 2x TV with a 6l helm. My problem is I can't see a way to fit in a curse setup. Also, what would be my optimal aura to run with a 2x2 split?

Hi grimjack68,

Can you check my profile and see if there are ny upgrades i can make please.
I want to do deathless guardians and tried mino when i was helping a friend but the fight was extremely long and not deathless.
any suggestions would be really welcome.

I run TVs in helm and FG in chest
Firstly, and most importantly - dump those gloves. They add fire damage to attacks, which means your Curse on Hit setup is triggering elemental equilibrium and sabotaging the damage output from your golems and spectres.

I agree with willo about swapping FGs to your helm and running Raise Spectre / Tukohama's Vanguards in your chest armour. Your FGs should be able to clear trash mobs in that helm just fine, and that way you can set up TVs in your chest with perfect 20/20 gems.

What else... those Abyss dual socket belts aren't worthwhile for us. Go with a single socket Stygian with life / armour / resists, or a leather belt with the same affixes.

Whirling blades doesn't care about your base speed, so the quicksilver isn't a great choice. If you want to use the flask, swap to shield charge to take advantage of the extra speed.

I'd probably drop the zombies, move Animated Guardian to your shield (and support him with minion life and fortify) so you can unsummon him by weapon switching if he gets low on health, and move those gems to your gloves. And Bone Offering! BO is critical to survival in high end maps IMO. I'd likely put that in your +3 ring, then you recover 743 life every time you block with BO up!

Thanks grimjack68.

The gloves shouldnt affect the COH setup since ball lightning is a spell right?

I will try out the other chnages as you have suggested.

I also swapped the gems in my belt to incorporate more mana as you had suggested. Currently sitting at 6.7k life ans 2.1k mana(unreserved). I also added the minion taunt on attack mod - thanks for this tip.

Hi there, and first of all thanks for the guide !
This is my first summoner and my first HC char (but not new to the game) and I have a few questions :

- Is there a way to know the level of a corpse / spectre ? As in written somewhere in the game, beside the fact that it should be the minimum of Zone / Desecrate / Raise Spectre gem.

- Everyone seems to go for either Solar Guards for clear speed or Tukohama Vanguards for bosses when I read the last pages of the topic. With some variations about mixing them, adding a Flame Golem or not. But the guide is supposed to be something like [3 Wicker Men + 1 Tukohama Vanguards] for clearspeed and [3 Tukohama Vanguards + 1 Wicker Men] for bosses. Is this setup not the best in 3.1 ? Wicker Men have been nerfed too much (can't find numbers in patch note).

- I've found another post talking about using [CWDT + Unearth + Spirit Offering] for great sustain. Is it the way to go right now or pure life + block (as in this guide) is equivalent in survivability ? Because I guess it is much cheaper.

- If my goal is to clear smoothly and safely the atlas in HC, what setup would you recommend that has decent clearspeed and bosses posibilities ? First I thought of following strictly the guide, but reading last pages of this topic made me doubt a little...

I hope someone can help me with all these "noobish" questions :D

Wickers were massively nerfed and so the best progression is to use solar guards for mapping upto T15's and then swap into tuka vanguards + flame golems for end game bosses. Though you could always just stick with solar guards if you prefer as they are good enough at end game bosses.
