[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri
" as far as I know, the gems reset to zero exp when sold. so a lvl 19+ 50% would just be a lvl 19. Then again I don't know what the "gem level update is" so Im probably wrong. Last edited by Kjeften#4304 on Dec 6, 2017, 11:17:17 AM

" Ok, then answer one little question for me, please. Why Tukohama fortress + necro aegis variant build easily build up 10 totems with 5 spectres? If this so called "cooldown" really exist and equal 10 sec, this variant would never work in the first place. Just simple question - why you people even think that there are such concept as "cooldown" for them? There are definitely some AI-code that control behaviour (like the one when they won't replace totem when already have it), but definitely not that absurd idea like "cooldown = time of life = 10 sec". If anyone want to say otherwise - should answer question about why 10 totems were even possible. Last edited by Med1umentor#6844 on Dec 6, 2017, 11:28:53 AM

Thanks for the great build, taking the time to post everything, and taking the time to answer my questions. I think the build will be fine but we will see what we can do with the new gear at end game.

" I don't think they reset after trading, not 100% sure on that but them added the xp level of gems on PoE trade for this Ring makes me think this is not the case. |
|
"Gems have never reseted xp when sold. poetrade just didn't have the gem exp shown until recently. |

My 2 cents on the situation:
- Unless they make 3 Vanguards have 1 totem in total instead of 1 each, the build is still viable and rocking. The Tukohama's fortress combo was heavily broken regarding the damage, but without the bonuses from equipped shield, survivability dropped a lot. I never used that version because you lose a big chunk of block and defenses. - Wicker men were mostly used to draw the aggro from bosses and mobs, they were almost immortal while tanking. This nerf means that the build will struggle more while clearing maps because their AoE was pretty effective. The build should still be op vs singe target. - In order to add more damage to wicker men and add more duration to our totems, we could swap minion and totem elemental resistances for efficacy support, which boosts damage for the wicker men and totem skill duration for the vanguards. I've already tested this setup, you should just pick Herd the flock passive node and get some jewels with minion resistance, and don't forget the resistances bonus from Commander of Darkness to reach the cap level. let's see what Natt thinks about it Last edited by Giammafix#2456 on Dec 6, 2017, 11:44:28 AM

So much misinformation and false hopes here...
MARK MY WORDS! THE BUILD IS DEAD! DEAD LIKE COLD FISH! why? let me lay it out for you: TV can only cast 1 totem at any given time, YES! even if you have 4 TVs up and running, they share only 1 totem! plus, totem's cool down is still 10 seconds while the totem only last 5 seconds. that means half the time your TV will be hitting like wet noddle instead of casting totem. and most of times totem needs to spin for 2-3 seconds to actually hitting something, so why people still want to have TV is beyond stupid. Regarding wickerman, I tested last night with 2 diff T16 spectres which also use RF, with 4 of them clearing T8 map, I didnt use anything else but let spectres running around, soon I got swarmed by huge packs of mobs, 4 spectres me and mobs pack together like sardin I have to keep casting BO to stay alive while mobs pecking on me, finally after about 15-18 seconds, mobs started to wither. I cant even compare the damage...with wickerman mobs died pretty fast(2-3 seconds?) in T15 maps. If anyone trying to say this build is still viable needs serious reality check! |

" Do you even know what Tukohama's fortress do? It'd lets you place 1 additional totem, so each spectre could place 2 totems instead of one when combined with necro aegis, that's right 2 totems per spectre. 5 spectres equals 10 totems, because 5 x 2 = 10. What exactly is hard to understand? The cooldown was equal to the uptime of the totems, when a totem expired, another would take its place, now it won't happen, once the totem expires, you gotta wait 5 sec before another can be placed, you might be able to bypass the cooldown with tuko's fortress though, since the second totem wouldn't be on a cooldown most likely. " Hm? Some skills have cooldown timers in this game, and some mob skills also have them. It's common knowledge. |
|
" Yeah, but he has a point. Since TV can't sustain 2 totems at time, maybe their AI keep waiting the last totem to drop before using a new one and that do their cooldown. We have the combo Totem + Flameblast where the AI can't decide to let it go before the max stack reach as example. Last edited by Darkkaos#6160 on Dec 6, 2017, 12:07:31 PM
