Path of Exile 3.0.0: The Fall of Oriath Patch Notes

ziz going over patch notes.

look at what he says at around 1:12:40 into it.

" None of these changes will effect me, none of these changes will effect the high end players"

If you are a casual player, the nerf bat is aimed at your baseball head.

HOME RUN !!!

We are all going to still play, But why would you come out with this ground braking new expansion and start it off with a mammoth nerf. Like , start it off with a boom !

Nerf builds -check

add boss life -check

OH and monsters now give less XP -check

I just want to know the mind set of GGG.

Cyclone was given +melee range as it leveled up on beta, but that change isnt in these patch notes. Does that mean it no longer has the +melee range as it levels? Need to know.
I thought Trickster's Swift Killer node was going to give frenzy AND power charge generation, did they take back the power charge generation?
wow thanks, this must be the longest patch notes ever. still feels some important bits are missing:

* Any new maps with new Act tilesets?
* Any changes to Atlas layout?
* Any new bosses replacing old and weak ones in maps?

I am so hyped for the expansion, I did not play the beta since I did not want any spoilers for the new acts. They nerfed the best skills and classes ofc. I am happy about the nerf on necro auradin, since it was to mandatory to have.

I love the buff on unarmed ele builds. That opens up for more unarmed builds and would be nice to watch what kind of builds people would make of it. I am also curious if it is possible to make a build with Brutus' Lead Sprinkler, now that it is buffed. I like strange build and that would be a build for me.

Thanks for bringing us this expansion.
Hope atleast all the negative guys try it out and not just leave.
Monsterous Patch notes took me one hour to completely read them.

Im mostly happy because all my builds survived this patch.

Two things that bug me really hard

- "Reflect rework" where is it? A forced pantheon pick that isnt even enough wont fix the issue
- Necro support not nerfed lol? The signs in the legacy ladder board were THAT STRONG...

Cant wait to try my pure phys build with the new pure physical support gems, oh wait there is still reflect which makes this unplayable at sufficient dps lvls...

Otherwise really good job, honestly.

33% nerf to RF spell dmg? Why??? Because of MoM?
Also so many proud performance improvements...Then bring back cospris and mjolner proc rate back to non-worse than manual cast levels.
"The cooldown changes were primarily driven by performance concerns. The change intended was vs the rate of hitting. It was not aimed at Discharge.

We realise these uniques are not in the right place after these changes were made. The balance team (a combination of specific designers and QA) was under a reasonable pressure to pick a right answer for 2.5.0 in a short period of time. (For those looking to blame someone, feel free to assign it to me for putting undue time constraints on the balance team.)"

Who's to blame this time around?
Also:
"For Discharge specifically, we'd most like to see its primary use as a self-cast skill. We likely won't make any changes in this direction until 3.0.0."
LOL. This was an easy one and in-line with how lazy most situations are taken care of lately, add the "cannot be triggered", it's close to useless anyways ;)

Burning damage was buffed in general, nerfs to RF and SH were done to balance it out.

Hmmm, so all non-fire spells that were using RF as ways to increment dmg got hit due to burning dmg increases? :(
I would have liked to see buff on underused/useless skills gems.
Decent works on ascendancy's class but Nothing with Champion class? Really ? /sad

The Dying Exile's voice acting has been rerecorded. Pretty short gig.

I laughed.
