See all these supporters that are anti CI/ES/VP/Greaver changes? Dont fuck up GGG. This could be make or break for you guys. Im prepared to quit Path of LIFE.

You guys should have done to ES what you did to AOE changes, the more you get, the less effect. And have simply disabled ghostreaver+vaal pact combination.

Please look into every build, as not everyone had over 20k ES, some builds only got to 10k or so ES with only decent damage output. Without playing the flavor of the month massively overpowered skill, it was hardly possible to balance offense/defense before these changes, with these changes it is going to be too much. As most players will be forced to default to the flavor of the month OP skill, otherwise they will never have enough offense AND defense. So I really hope underpowered skills will also get major buffs, otherwise there will be no point in playing these at all.
*Extra: I always create my own builds with non-OP skills(was going for ice nova build in FoO), so these changes might actually hit me too hard.

My biggest issue with life based characters is how hard/expensive it is to get chaos resist gear, please consider dropping chaos resist gear more often. Maybe even add some well placed 10%+ chaos resist nodes on the skill tree.

Also, the manifesto is called life and ES changes, yet I see no life changes at all! Life nodes could use a little buff.

I'm mostly worried these changes will push everyone to the flavor of the month overpowered builds, as with the lesser damage skills it might be impossible to balance offense/defense. If this happens, PoE will lose what I see as it's most important feature: Build diversity! And as much as I love the game, if this happens I'm out. For now I'll just be cautious of if/when I'll buy the new supporter pack(s).

Ah well, lets see how this works on the actual release. I really hope ES wasn't nerfed too much.

Lets create a system that points everyone towards ES... makes ES super effective, and then instead of slightly nerfing ES and buffing life, we'll just nuke an entire aspect of character development, and then expect people to buy supporter packs..... GGGGGGGGG

ES is really great, but tbh a big part of that is because life is complete garbage.

not only does this nerf make it really difficult for average players to achieve end game with ES, but it also reveals how ridiculous end game content has become.

Evertime vaal pact has been busted (harder to get on the tree, less efficient, and now no longer effects ES) the meta shifts but always gravitates back to some instant leech mechanic.

yes there are alot of players hitting 20k ES, but average players arent.

the people that play hours upon hours will still play ES, the only peoplE you are nerfing are average players with 7k to 9k ES doing close to end game content.

and please dont tell that hybrid life/defense mod is the only buff to life after youve basically removed ES for average players

Ill answer for myself- because I care about balance and this game has such a rampant power creep atm any nerf to player power is pretty much a great thing.

I do agree on the ability to roll some sick rare that has more life, but life builds that does not wear unique armour and shield will still have a whooping 300 more life which is basicly nothing. I guess my regular life toons will keep on offscreening everything in the future, as well as any future ES build I might do. My shadow toon has taken basicly all the life nodes in his path and gone out of his way to get a couple more clusters. He has 5K life at lvl88. I wanted him to do melee but I am forced to offscreen everything with spectral throw to not get totally shit on by any blue pack where I fail to hit a crit instantly. He wont be buffed by these changes because he is wearing a unique chestpiece (with 90 life). I guess I can get like 100 more life if I roll an even sicker shield that my current one. I can see him getting 6K at lvl 100 with the sickest gear. I do hope we will see a better life buff that this, either on uniques across the board, on the tree or flat increase per level, or all of the above. If you balance high tier content on 9K life you have got to be kidding me. Only builds that are specialized into life to the point of boredom will ever get that. And Kaoms heart, just remove it from the game already. As long as it is in the game its always possible to get that extra 1.5K life and the game must be balanced around that. But that thing is too rare to be found by the average joe (I think Etup found 1 in his last map for lvl100 right?) and promotes boring builds.
