To answer your first question, mostly. If the changes are to be implemented as they are in this post, then no, but the important thing for people to realize is that crying wolf and quitting the game (hence why I brought up the D3 meme, people are actually quitting for that game in response to this) is absolutely asinine when these changes aren't even implemented in BETA yet, much less the final release of 3.0.

As for your second question... maybe? It mostly depends on the development philosophy of the high-end content we see in Acts 5-10 and how those bosses interact with players in terms of damage/one-shot mechanics.

The changes are not even live yet. This is the plans for BETA! Give them a chance man. I believe in GGG and know that 3.0 will be amazing.

How many actual, practical PoE builds can reach 10.000 effective life pool? In most cases that's not possible, not until you can afford a massively expensive Vaal Regalia at least.

I'm willing to bet most PoE players haven't spent 1000+ hours grinding. So they don't have anywhere near 900+ ES on their body armor.

I'm also willing to bet I will still not have a 900+ Regalia even after 5000+ hours of PoE.

A 20k+ ES build is not a real, practical build, that can actually do anything. It's absurd to nerf the game just because some dude built an insanely OP build, to prove that it's possible.

No they wont. People will change to facetanking with life builds now.

Anyway if you build a full tank character, say juggernaut or gladiatior, why shouldnt you be able to facetank?

There is a very small buff to life, via crafting mods, but not enough IMO. Even a 1-2% buff to some (or all) life nodes would go a long way.


Where did you see that? My interpretation is that that prefix which adds life can't be crafted together with the +life prefix if it is already on that item


I'm not seeing how you're interpreting it that way. They said the were adding new life+defenses mod, not that they would be restricting it in that manner. It would be very dumb if they did that.
