Damage Over Time Changes - Part 1
How will Earthquake work with these changes? Will the After Shock 50% more multiplier not apply to the base dmg for the dot?

It seems that GGG is losing control of important aspects of PoE.

Congratz, melee DoT based RIP. By extension of these changes you can forget about leech. Could you try to nerf melee even more? I think it hasn't been bullied to level of base attack yet.

So basically you're changing a mechanic that you found complicated and difficult for those who didn't know it and replacing it with a system that is far more complicated. Interesting...

Summary for people that didn't understand: Double dipping is gone,it's not a nerf but they removed it completely so builds that focused on double dipping will lose about 70-80% of the dot damage.
Also it's a buff for all the other dot builds that didn't care about double dipping(double the scale and buff dot nodes on tree and a new keystone). Also RF/Scorching ray can use 1 more multiplier support gem hype. This is what I call "balance" thanks GGG. |
