Is sunder better/safer for clearing than heavy strike?
" Sunder is generally safer while clearing trash mobs as it has quite a long range; Ground Slam also has a long range and big AoE area. However when you encounter Beyond bosses or just elites or map bosses Heavy Strike offers much higher DPS and stun capability and can be much safer in this case. So there really isn't an objectively better choice. I think it really comes down to preference and play style, and all those choices are viable. |

Ground slams uses the same links as sunder?
" Yes, Ground Slam and Sunder share many similarities. One thing to keep in mind is that you probably want at least 1 threshold jewel for Ground Slam for a larger AoE angle. |

nvm

Is the physical variant better than the ele one?
" I wouldn't say any variant is objectively better than another, and that's why I talked about both variants in the guide. That said, I do believe that the mixed damage version is overall better, for it's higher burst damage with flasks and AoE clear from Herald of Ash. The pure physical variant can be better in many cases as well, like it offers more flexibility in aura and flask choices and it is better suited for boss fights when we'll be taking consistent damage and Damage on Full Life Support won't work. You only need to swap gems to switch between these 2 variants, so... you can try both and then decide. |
