You get them from gears later into the game.
For start of league grab the fat int and str nodes first and respec them later
Buy amulets from vendors or get the rare amulets from quests, they usually give good amount of stats.

How do you have Fight for Survival as a required gem but not have any of your passive gem slots with atleast 40 dex surrounding the medium radius requirment? according to the skill tree you only get 30 for the first one

You dont need to spend points on dex nodes for this jewel to work, it needs 40dex in its radius.

Just need Dex nodes around it, no allocation needed. you can check your cold penetration in your character stats by assigning and removing the jewel.

first of... I think you need to do some FAQ about this build, I went thru first 10 pages looking for word "pen", and didn't find my answer there. (That's why I wrote...)


Is Cold Penetration Support there for boss clearing?
Because I'm getting better map clear with Added Cold Damage Support. (tbh it is even better against bosses)

What's the purpose of this gem? (Unless it becomes more efficient on higher tier of maps such as 13,14,15)

cold penetration is probably there to deal more dmg and also for elemental resist trash mobs.

my preferred gem link would be:
Frost Blade - WEP - Multistrike - Faster Attack - Cold Penetration (5L)

if i have got a 6L, I would roll a blue for Crit Strike/Multi
and then switch out to ele focus if the boss can't be frozen

i will try added cold and ice bite to see how they perform

i don't know. guess its up to personal play style.

Currently this build is not "cheap" at all! ahah

Btw, in your build code, you are using Kaom's Roots. But since it can not have sockets why do you have a orb of storms, curse on hit, etc in boots?

How's your dps going tho?
I'm currently running Frost blade -> Elemental damage on attacks -> multi -> added cold -> elemental focus and I'm sitting on ~53k dps with hatred + summon ice golem (not running herald of ice cause of arctic armor which feels way better) and ~100k with frenzy, ancestral protector, onslaught and diamond flask. Maps up to 11(didn't go further yet) are extremely easy and with 4.3k life + vaal pact it's pretty hard to die to anything but oneshots. I used cold pen for a few mins and the damage was way lower, so was the tooltip dps
