Finally completed 40/40 in SSF.
In the process, pretty much completed core items for the Herald stacking build:
Herald Stacking
Gonna give it a shot before it gets nerfed into oblivion in 3.11. | |
Believe it or not I'm running a physical minion Champion, already using Grace, with plans to work in Pride if I could. I can do it with Devouring Diadem, though I haven't got one yet. Yolo corrupted because I wasn't sure if I really wanted to deal with it. I think I have to now? |

@UP
It is not like You have to but it would be not wise to not use it. Another useless junk: This kinda nice: New gear setup:

Uber Atziri ripped me a new one. Much harder than I remember her being, or maybe it's just my DPS is terrible. Shaper also took forever, with basically the whole arena covered in Vortex by the time he died. As consolation though, my first ever one of these:

Time for some Trickster action with max block ED. :) The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

I was wondering how you guys approach your SSF experience? This is my third league in SSF and I am always kinda stuck/getting bored at the same point, once progression slows down and content gets really difficult and I doubt my build/s can handle endgame at all. I haven't seen Shaper, (U)Elder or Sirus in SSF yet.
I admit, I kinda start every league without a clear plan, just jumping in and see what happens from there. Maybe get a decent drop here and there and than start a new character accordingly. While thats all fun and good I feel like it doesn't really lead me towards 'beating' the game. So I guess my question is do you set yourself a goal and lay out a clear plan on what build to play and what goal to reach? Do you have a certain pattern on how to approach endgame? Like getting all the important crafting recipes, farm certain items, religiously approaching the atlas? Or just having a general method on how to be able to play all content a league and the game has to offer? There is so much stuff to do and I feel like I need to play more target oriented and don't f*** around so much. |

" My first goal in the league is always to be able to kill end game bosses and obtaining 36 challenges. During this process, I will be able to gather gears for the next build that I want to play. 6L used to be a huge problem in the past but with divination cards, Tabula, and Oni-goroshi, you can easily play a build that can bring you to end game. Take Delirium league for example, I decided to farm Oni-goroshi and used it to beat Sirus. In the process, I farmed gears for my next build, which is Archmange Stormbrand. With this second build, I continue towards my 36 challenges. During the process, Saviour and Paradoxica dropped for me, and I re-spec my Oni-goroshi build into Impale Cyclone using warcry cluster jewels. I ping-pong between these 2 builds till I complete 40/40. In the process of reaching my 40/40 goal, I farmed gears for the herald stacking build (Which I am playing now. I just have to give this build a shot cos it will 100% get hit by the nerf bat in 3.11). In short, having goals and religiously aim for the goalpost always make the game more fun for me. Take the exploding chest that I have linked earlier, I got an iLvl 87 Astral Plate dropped. I decided to 6L it. Once I have it 6L, I went on to farm for the split beast. I made 2 copies of the 6L Astral plate with the split beast and used 1 of them to craft the exploding chest above while keeping the other for the next split beast that I find. Whats next? Farming Simulacrum till I get that 1 passive Voice. I don't know if I will get it, but at least that is something worth looking forward to. |
