[3.10] Bashtart's SPARK INQUISITOR * farming like a god! :)
"So I have an 5 socket inpulsa that's not linked which im working on right now. So what should I put in place of elemental proliferation? Currently I am trying to see if it's worth buying a starkonja with the spark enchantment for 60c but at the same time, I don't want to make a huge purchase without knowing for sure. Also I was wondering what the point of vaal spark is. I found myself never using the vaal effect and just the regular. I have a 20% quality normal spark so should I just use that instead? Just checked my mana with herald of thunder plus wrath and it keeps my mana at 413/1476 Last edited by MistaChun#4123 on Jul 10, 2018, 11:13:43 PM

Inpulsa:
When it comes to linking a chest armor or 2H weapon, you need to be aware of two things: 1. Increasing the quality on your armor/weapon to 20% will slightly increase the chance of getting 6 sockets and 5/6 links - so do this before you start. 2. Even if you are only going for a 5-link, getting 6 sockets on the item first is recommended for two reasons; one - you have the chance to actually 6-link before you 5-link, which is of course a very nice bonus and two - you can get a 5-linked item two ways if you have 6 sockets, effectively doubling the chance of 5-linking it. Vorici can give you 6 sockets for 350 jeweller's, but personally I always 6-socket manually. Another thing to consider is to purchase the "Jeweller's Touch" Prophecy for around 20 chaos and activate it. Then a single Jeweller's Orb will immediately 5-link your item (but you will not get 6 sockets). It could be worth it if you are low on Jeweller's or don't want to risk spending currency and not getting the desired result. Helmet with +3 sparks: Starkonja with +3 spark projectiles would be an upgrade for sure. You will not only get DPS but also life. If you want to know DPS/life changes before you commit to a buy, I recommend downloading the free Path of Building software where you can import your character and test with various items. It will also allow you to see your true DPS - not the tooltip DPS which is very rarely your true DPS. Vaal Spark: It's not needed. The DPS of the Vaal version is not that high compared to Vaal Blade Vortex. It's just some extra burst damage but not needed imho. |

Hello there.
After a break of 6+ months, at 1st i started to make a simple melee build for the new incursion league. Just to get used to the game again. However, i feel that i do and will be lacking some clearspeed for the incursions where im under time pressure. Theres no time to constantly reposition etc. if you cant reach the back of a larger pack or such. 10 sec + X to get rid of a boss+mobs in a 2x2 or 3x3 screen sized area full of ledges, walls and seperate rooms as melee build just wasnt my idea of how to start playing the game again. Not without screenfilling AoE and leapslams at least. So my plan is to start a 2nd char, and i think ill just go with sparks. I havnt played that lately and it was one of my earliest builds. On top of that, sparks and plenty walls to bounce off from, seem like a more relaxed/better way than mine for really making sure every last mob gets hit. Came across this guide checking for whats popular atm. and wanted to ask a few things regarding this specific setup. Im trying to abuse an old standard char, bribe some random fella to borrow me the 6L chest for a few minutes, grab the other gear from my stash and see how im doing, but id rather ask to make sure. 1) How viable is a cheap version that i would play in the league for some days at least? No amulet. Chest HOPEFULLY 5L while i roll 6L or save up to buy one. Most likely lacking some dps on rares too as ill probably cap resists 1st with my own gear before later buying proper replacements. 2) Do you get any dps problems when you run into something tanky? Like a sudden beyond boss. Or the uniques that guard the incursions doors just to name 2 examples. Or is the spark dmg usually enough for these? Asking cause especially in the current league im concerned about the "old/former" pseudo link gloves. 1st i was worried about how rare/expensive that sort of gear is, as its brand new to me. But now the gloves seem completely canceled for 3.3, and the 2 main skills both go in the chest. Having to swap more than 1 arguably 2 gems, seems slow and stressful without having tried for myself somehow or not? In standard, i would just get 2 chests to swap ofc. But since i rarely bother with trading, making that kind of cash in leagues is questionable. So only having a 5L, and no idea how much later a 6L is ok i hope? 3)And how about parties? In fast groups i cant even hit the stash/vendor between 2 maps without falling behind in the next one. Swapping gems before+after bossfights seems even worse in case its necessary. Yeah sure, in a good party i could just act tough and wait for the others to kill bosses, but id feel a bit bad honestly. I think ill just strip 2 old chars in fact. Play around in sc to try and see how im doing and level a new char in the league. Any help would be appreciated. Time my dusty spider mtx gets put to some use again. |

Your post is a bit confusing when it comes to what items you are planning on using or borrowing. I'll try to answer your specific questions:
1) Get an amulet with crit multi instead and some other dmg stats. Should be fine. 5L vs 6L chest for BV isn't much of a difference imho. I killed Chimera and red elder on 5L. 2) Spark clears most things. For tanky rares and bosses you need BV or it will take too long. I don't understand the rest of what you are talking about regarding gloves and 2 skills in chest. If you are low on currency you can buy Kalisa's Grace for your Spark gem setup. 3) No need to swap any gems in this build. |

" Thank you for your response. I have added a new weapon and shield, belt + vessel, helmet and jewel with the corrupted implicit "You cannot be inflicted with corrupted blood" and take new watchers eye with 25 extra. With 2 and more mods is expensive for me , but i will next upgrade focus on the jewel with twoo mods. What is mods best for me ? phys to extra lightning dmg and increased lightning damage by wrath ? " The best mod for watcher's eye is difinitly "crit chance". If you want to improve Spark and BV I would go with "increased lightning damage" as second. If you think your Spark is strong enough and you want more dps with BV for single target get "physical damage as extra...". Expensive stuff :) Watcher's Eye on Poe Trade |

Hey everyone! This is my second char in poe and i really enjoy it. So it took me some time to understand the mechanics and i spend a couple of hours in path of building. I really like this build, so thx to bashtart to create this build. I have no problems so far. I can clear every high tier map without any trouble. But there is a big BUT.. I know this build isnt the huge boss killer but i have so much trouble to kill the shaper guardians. With time i changed a lot things but i dont know what to do and want to ask u if u have some ideas.
Here is my char: Helm: I changed Rat's nest to starkonja's for more survivability Rings: Because using MoM i thought about to change my rings and get some with "+3 Mana gained for each Enemy Hit by your Spells" Flask's: I dont know if i should use atziri's promise instead of "the overflowing chalice" for bossfight TO DO : - get enlighten lvl 4 (give me ~ +250 mana) - vaal bv lvl 21 Question/ideas: For boss fights i disable herald of thunder to get a higher mana pool. SO what make more sense? Just disable herald of thunder for a bigger mana pool or swap to artic armour? An other thing i thought about. Change bv to gc but i did not tried yet. It would be nice if u can give me some input :) PS: sorry for my bad english PPS: Here is my Char for the Skilltree https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/pakman_/characters Last edited by pakman_#5924 on Jul 17, 2018, 1:57:10 PM

I've been running this build since the start of the league. It clears maps fast and efficiently, but I have one problem I keep running into.
Something keeps causing my character to lock up for no reason during or out of fights. At first I thought I was getting stunned or something, but that wasn't it cus it happened in open field with no mobs present. Sometimes when I drink my anti-curse potion I can get free of the lock up, but half the time it doesn't work. I look closely at my character and monitor my affix bar for debuffs and see nothing come up as it happens. I don't see a freeze effect, a stone effect, or a stun effect at all. Has anyone experienced this? If so, what the hell is causing that? Is it a bug? Cus I am starting to think it is at this point. |

" Your gear looks pretty good and guardians are more less a bit a gear check but more knowing the fight and to know which mechanics you have to avoid. Also I saw you got most gems at 20/20 ... now I would use a vaal orb on them. Also I really recommend to us a stibnite flask because this will help you survivability soooo much. Otherwise just watch some video about the fights to learn how tondo them. Last edited by bashtart#2403 on Jul 22, 2018, 1:50:14 AM
